The concrete plant has 4500/3000 l. capacity ELKON pan mixer with double outlets. Thus, 2 truck mixer can be ready under the mixer at the same time and they can be filled respectively with no time loss for truck mixer approaching. It can be reached up to 135 m3/hour concrete production capacity.

5 Concrete Batching Plants for Romania's Moldova A7 Highway Project

A privately held company of Romania, mainly is active in the road and bridge construction business. The owner of the company commonly known as Romania's "asphalt king". This Romanian leading company is responsible for the construction of Romania's Moldova A7 Highway Project.

Contracts for 10 sections of Romania’s Moldova A7 highway project have been awarded. The company is handling the €2.64 billion contract for the section of the highway lining Bacau with Buzau.

Meanwhile, contracts are being awarded for two sections of the A8 highway. A 22km stretch will connect Targu Mures with Miercurea Nirajului and will cost €739.6 million. It will include the construction of 16 bridges.
A 30km section will connect Leghin and Targu Neamt and will cost €510 million. This last section will include building 13 bridges and two viaducts.

RCC Concrete Plant for Air Base Upgrade in

51 million Euros investment is done to upgrade Kucova Air Base in Albania as a part of NATO’s Security Investment Programme, to transform old base into a modern station for its operations in the Western Balkans.

Reconstruction has started in 2019 and planned to reopen within this year. It includes modernization of the control tower, build new storage units, and restore the runway.

Albania’s one of the most trusted construction companies is in charge with restoring the runway. Within the scope of this project, to produce high quality roller compacted concrete (RCC), the company trusted ELKON’s experience, and ordered ELKOMIX-135 Quick Master compact concrete plant equipped with 3 m3 capacity ELKON RCC twin shaft mixer. The company can reach required hourly capacity from ELKON RCC concrete plant by producing 3 m3 RCC per batch.

Powder Mixing Plant in

Meba Bodenverwertung GmbH, as a subsidiary company of the Mendiger Basalt Group, has been engaged in the acceptance and processing of soils and construction waste materials for many years. They operate several technical structures where several hundred thousand tons of non-load-bearing soils need to be placed.

As part of a large-scale research project, powdered secondary binders from the industry and their usability for soil stabilization were investigated. The results of cementitious residual dusts mixed with the trass material from the Mendiger Basalt's own quarries were groundbreaking.

To ensure a reliable supply to their own structures and other civil engineering projects, Meba Bodenverwertung GmbH acquired a powder mixing plant from . This decision was based on their excellent experience with a 60 cubic meter per hour ready-mix concrete plant. ELKON was once again approached to design such a special powder mixing plant.

In the first stage, the three existing silos of the ready-mix concrete plant, with capacities of 500 tons for by-pass dust, 75 tons for cement, and 75 tons for trass cement, were connected to a collecting tank. Additionally, a 300-ton silo for trass flour was purchased and connected accordingly.
