Hi everyone! It's been a while...
We received several requests for our workshops "Make Your Own 3D Printer" and we would like to prepare another one with the 3d printer of the year 2017 (see http://makezine.com/comparison/3dprinters/): the Original Prusa i3 MK2S kit! It is a fantastic printer with a lot of possibilities. The price is very reasonable but more expensive than those we used before for our workshops. We estimate the total cost of such workshop to 7,000MOP (including the 3d printer, the shipping to Macau and the place of the workshop).

We are thinking to run the workshop in November or December and we need to order the 3d printer kits at least one month in advance. We are also interested to propose the multi material upgrade for those interested. This will be 2,800 MOP extra, but believe me it is worth! You can then print with up to 4 colors and print some much more complex shapes (check the last link below for more information).

Please let us know what you think in the comment and if we have enough positive feedback we will open the registration.

The cube pieces were designed with Sketchup, exported to 2D, and the logo added with Adobe Illustrator. Finally it was engraved and cut in 5mm thick wood by an Epilog Fusion 40 laser cutter.

“Arduino has Shields, Beagleboard has Capes and soon the Raspberry Pi will have HATs,” says James Adams, the designer of the Raspberry Pi Model B+.

The new 40 pin GPIO in the Raspberry Pi B+ was designed to support a new generation of "plug & play" modules called "Hardware Attached on Top" (HAT) which allows the Pi to detect the hardware and download and configure the necessary drivers.
