The programme of events of the MBF 2024 includes about 100 events over five days between Wednesday 6 and Sunday 10 November. Additionally, in collaboration with APS Bank, Inspire Malta will host a sensory room for children on the autism spectrum, ensuring a welcoming experience for all. 🙌

Experience a unique cross-cultural poetic exchange at this year’s 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 on Friday, 8th November, from 18:00 to 19:30 at 'It-Teatru.'
Emirati poet 𝐀𝐥𝐢 𝐀𝐥𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐚𝐥𝐢 and Maltese-Moroccan poet 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐡𝐮𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 will culminate their poetic exchange with a reading of their translated works at the 𝐃𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐟 𝐏𝐨𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲. At the 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥, the National Book Council has consistently showcased the talent of local artists and illustrators, acknowledging their vital role in #𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐬 by visually enriching our stories.🪡🌍📖 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 returns as part of a collaborative effort with Arts Council Malta – continuing our longstanding partnership – alongside the Malta Community of Illustrators. 🤝 With a new section also featuring international artists, this year’s exhibition promises to be our most extensive yet! 𓂃🖌

The Malta Community of Illustrators (MCOI) invites you to submit your artwork to be exhibited at the The Malta Book Festival 2024! 🎨 MCOI is looking for existing or new illustrations that envision a sustainable Malta 🇲🇹 20 years from now.
Selected artworks will be showcased on a hardback book’s dust jacket 📖 sponsored by Gutenberg Press and designed by Sarah Cachia Falzon. The illustrations will be chosen by MCOI together with the National Book Council (Malta). Don't miss out—submissions close on 4 October 2024!
