| Rosy curves: A Pink Oasis |

This unique architectural project is designed to create an eye-catching and playful oasis in an urban setting. The concept revolves around the idea of blending organic curves and pink accents to evoke a sense of fun and serenity in the midst of a bustling city.

Strategically placed pink accents enliven the building's exterior. Pink-stucco renders the ceilings of the curvilinear volumes, catching the sunlight and casting a warm rosy glow on the surroundings. The entrances and selected windows feature rose-gold metal frames, further enhancing the pink theme and adding a touch of elegance ✨✨

The building's exterior, features a series of curvilinear volumes that gracefully rise from the ground, resembling gentle sand dunes.

The curving forms create a sense of movement, inviting visitors to explore the dynamic spaces within.

The volumes are predominantly white, allowing them to stand out while providing a neutral backdrop for the pink accents ✨

Amidst the curves, pockets of greenery and landscaped terraces are interspersed, acting as visual breaks and contributing to the oasis concept.

Lush vegetation cascades down from some of the curved volumes, creating a harmonious blend of nature and architecture ✨🌱

This beautiful double fronted townhouse was designed by Francesco Zammit in the 1880s.

We’ve been tasked with the honor of redesigning and modernizing this space into a landmark boutique Hotel - to bring life back to the once vibrant area

Maintaining and preserving this building’s unique features is the corner stone of this project’s goal.

These kind of projects will hopefully inspire, capture and celebrate the island’s rich heritage - something that we feel we definitely need more of.

🟡 Meet Alexandra 🟡

Alexandra is the senior architect and owner at Amanche studios and has a vivid way of looking at space and design.

Utilizing textures, colours as well as light, she loves seeing the spaces her clients’ dream of come to life. Whether it’s a sleek modern apartment, traditional family home or a zen yoga studio, Alex uses her ability to translate her ideas of unconventional space into reality.

Alex has extensive experience in restoration and has futher specialized in design.

When she’s not working on bringing your dreams to life, you can find her tanning on the beach, reading or spinning ✨

Mattea is a Junior Architect working at Amanche studios with an appreciation for design and attention to detail. With a passion for creating captivating spatial experiences, driven by how users move through space, Mattea's work has transitioned from architectural design and into the world of spatial and stage design.

Whether working on a traditional stage or a non-conventional space, Mattea takes on each project with unique creative vision, bringing stories to life through innovative use of space and design.

When she’s not working drafting up new designs Mattea likes to spend her time in nature with her dogs and traveling ✨

On entering the property you are greeted by a wide arched entrance hall leading to an open plan kitchen - both spaces flooded by light ☀️

From the roof down to the ground floor, a light well is to be introduced into the property, brightening up the space whilst adding a sense of natural textures through the use of plants and vegetation.

To optimize on space and light the existing basement is to be converted to a sunken living room Rachel by a wide staircase leading to the elevated dining space or the houses entrance.

The master suite expands and flows throughout the first floor into several immersive and elevated spaces separated by partitions and stairs leading one into either master bedroom, it’s walk-in, personal study and en-suite.

You enter the first level, graced by natural light, home to the main dining and living space

The modern take on traditional Maltese tiles in pinks and greys, leads you into the open kitchen and dinning area.

The master bedroom and en-suite separated by a pink vortex look out to the outdoor area, subtly complementing the living space through the application of bright bold colors and natural textures.

The lower levels use a mixture of angles and lighting to create symmetry and balance in a small, narrow space. Reusing bold pinks and blues, this time focusing on the staircase leading to the stark basement, brings a sense of vibrancy to what was once a dark living area.
