This was the moment I painted the logo for ĠUGAR - Hangout & Bar, and I’m happy it’s still holding up—talk about staying power!
I wonder how many conversations it’s overheard since then :) ; It’s such a sweet memory and a real honour to have been asked to do it.
Apollo and Daphne (1622-1625), by Gian Lorenzo Bernini; this sculptural depicts the tragic mythological story of Apollo and Daphne recounted in Ovid’s Metamorphoses.
Apollo, the God of music and poetry, one-day insults Cupid (the God of love). So, as a form of revenge, Cupid fashions two arrows – one made of gold and the other of lead. He pierces Apollo with the gold arrow, causing him to fall head over heels in love with the nymph Daphne; he also pierces Daphne with the arrow of lead, causing her to fiercely repulse Apollo. As a result, Daphne hastily flees from all of Apollo’s advances. When he finally manages to catch up to Daphne (with the help of Cupid), Daphne calls to her father Ladon (a River God), imploring him to help her escape. He turns her into a laurel tree the moment that Apollo reaches her.
Next week, I’m celebrating my 40th birthday, and as I reflect on this milestone, I’m reminded that life itself is a celebration. Every experience, even the bitter ones, teaches us something valuable, and I’m deeply grateful for the people who’ve stood by me through it all.
In the spirit of gratitude, I’m collecting funds for Hospice Malta , an incredible organisation that provides palliative care and support to patients with serious illnesses, ensuring they live with dignity and comfort.

Thank you all, and keep smiling and shining! 🌟
Mark Mallia , you spoke your mind with a generosity that was as profound as it was rare, offering your heart and soul with every artistic creation and every candid word.
To have worked by your side was an honour, a privilege that enriched my life and my art beyond measure. Your outspoken words about my work still echo in my mind: "Int ma tbezzghax Serafina, imma xogholok jahsad." Those words, delivered with your characteristic blend of honesty and encouragement, pushed me forward, urging me to embrace my own fearless spirit.
Though you are no longer with us in body, your legacy endures in the countless lives you've touched and the art that continues to speak your truth.

May we be present in
Other people's memories.
Let someone already far away remember
Our smile and feel welcomed.
May our good do the other good.
May we be the longing beating
In the chest of an old friendship.
May we be the love that someone
Never forgot.
Let's be someone who smiled on the street,
And the stranger was enchanted.
May we be, today and always,
A good thing, who lives in
Each one who passed by us!

In Defence Of The Wolf
Traditionally, the wolf is seen as an enemy of man. This contradicts 2 known aspects of the wolf's history.
* The wolf displays a complex social structure, in many aspects not unlike human families. The leader of the pack is characterised by it's nobility and leadership abilities.
* The taming of the wold is the oldest in human history. When man arrived in Europe the wold was the main predator. Both species shared hunting grounds, and this proximity probably led to the wolf's domestication and, by artificial selection, the incredible diversity of it's offspring: the dog.
Therefore, once again, reason and scientific knowledge suggest that we should change our views of the world, setting aside ancient prejudices.
