Dear triathletes,
Covid protocol requires you to write your race number on your calves with a permanent marker. There shall be no price giving ceremony after the race. The FMTri will organise a global event when the restrictions will be lifted.
Reminder:
You may prepare & give us a bottle with your number that will wait for you in Les Salines for the Bike Leg.
The main water point for the Run Leg will be at the end of the track. You will also have individual food packs (white packs if you are allergic to nuts) at this table.

Dear triathletes,
You will need the right fuel for your engine during those long hours tomorrow.
Be sure to eat early enough before the start ( 2/3 hours), bring your usual gels and bars, and don't forget to have something solid with you. You should aim for 40/60gr of glucides per hrs.
Don’t forget to hydrate well.

Dear triathletes,
Your safety is our priority.

Transitions are important :
Try to practice - specifically - the bike to run of your last rest day.
On Sunday get familiar with the transition area and be sure your gear is set up efficiently to ensure a quick start after T1 and T2. You can memorize your spot by walking from the water's edge to the T1 transition area.
• Place your helmet with straps out and upside down on the aero bars.
• Lay your items on an open towel so you can stand on it and wipe your feet clean & dry while putting on your helmet.
• Open the straps on your cycling shoes or use elastics to put them on your pedals.
• Use a race belt to attach race numbers. It's quick to put on and good for both the bike and run. Your number has to be visible at all time.
• Have a water bottle ready to take a sip and to rinse your feet after the swim.
• If using a bike computer, make sure it's reset and ready to go.
• Make sure your bike is racked so it comes off easily - with the front pointing out.
• With small pieces of duct tape, tape your energy gels to the tube of your bike in layers. Then you can rip one off and open it at the same time. Same goes for your back up tube.
The FMTri.
Tapering Week :
5 days to go it’s time to rest, shave your legs or have your bike checked. The training is done and you are ready! Don't forget to have quality sleep and hydrate well during this last few days.
