Maoni Orphanage - Paint Project (Nursery Block)
Slowly but certainly one block at a time, we managed to transform the area by adding desks and chairs, toys, educational charts and also some bright colours to liven the place up for the children β€οΈπ§‘π§‘ππππ . A warm thanks to Mr Mustafa Jawad for the paints; Kips Restaurant for the teacher's desk; Mr Ahmed Sunka (together with friends and family) for the contributions; community members; and the team that made all this possible. π€β€οΈπ
At some point in life every single one of us has heard a similar version of how our parents walked for miles just to get to school, carrying their books and other necessities in their hands or a plastic bag. For some it was just a story told as a lesson, and for some it was a reality. Some have been fortunate enough not to experience this, but sadly we still have alot of children who are in such situations. If you would like to help a child by donating/sponsoring a drawstring bag, contact us for more information π¬ π€β€οΈπ

Maoni Orphanage
Mattress (50) Fundraising.
About a month ago we visited this particular Orphanage in Chileka and decided to start a Fundraiser to help them get new mattresses as the sleeping conditions were not favourable for all the children. Mattresses were worn out, not enough bunk beds for all 50 children.
As we started collecting funds and other items (beddings and groceries) we were fortunate enough to get a donation of all 50 mattresses, giving us the opportunity to divert the funds into getting more items than we had expected (such as blankets, bedsheets, pillows, towels, a few groceries and some treats for the children.
A much needed warm Thanks to every individual that helped in this fundraiser, helping put a smile on their faces was priceless.
Warm Thanks to:
Β° Toyota Malawi for donating the 50 mattresses
Β° St Patrick's school of Singapore, Class of 93' for donating 30 beds and 50 mosquito nets
Β° Bakermans for the children's extra treats and also transportation for the stuff
Β° Cricket Malawi for joining us to entertain the children and also children's cricket equipment
Β° Last but certainly not least, The Community, every individual involved in the process (whether volunteer or donor)
πΌπ€ God Bless you all ππ
