The Petticoat Princess

"Sabina Chebichi on her way to winning 800m race barefoot at an athletics event sponsored by Brooke bond in Kericho, 1973.

She nick named the petticoat princess due to her competing in her petticoat due to lack of proper athletics gear.

To correct some internet rumours, Chebichi was never a Marathoner, neither did she win any marathon barefooted. Her speciality was 880 yards currently 800m race.

Born in Trans Nzoia on 13th June 1959, Sabina was just the average schoolgirl from a humble background who focused on her studies.

She was 13 years old when she began taking part in racing competitions and found her footing in the field. Her speed and endurance were unmatched by her peers, and in most races, Sabina breezed past her competition with ease.

As she gained more confidence on the track, she sought to showcase her athletic prowess in bigger events. But one obstacle stood in her way – Sabina lacked the finances to purchase a sports kit. But what she lacked in funding, she more than made up for in willpower.

In 1973, Sabina signed up for a race in Kericho sponsored by the Brooke Bond tea producing company.

Very few people paid heed to the lanky 14-year-old girl at the starting line who had shown up for the race barefoot and in a green petticoat. Some probably even laughed her off and dismissed her attempt as sheer folly.

But once the starter for the 800 metre race sounded, she put an end to all speculations about her abilities.

Sabina bagged first place in 2:16 and left her competitors biting her dust yet again in the 1,500 metre race by winning with a time of 4:40.

Sabina’s victories, as well as the shocked look on spectators’ faces, were captured by renowned Kenyan photographer Mo Amin .

Word spread quickly about Sabina’s remarkable accomplishments, earning her the title “The Petticoat Princess”.

“Most of the saints in the camp meeting at Los Angeles knew the sad and awful suffering endured by my dear husband, Mr. Etter.
I started with two nurses to help care for him on the long journey from the Pacific to the Atlantic and away up to Long Hill, Connecticut, near Bridgeport. When we arrived there, husband was almost dead; but I was much better.

It was hard for me to travel with the best of care, but now our minds were on and for him; he could not rest but a few minutes at a time; every move he made move me.
I expected to go at once to Long Hill, where the manager of the meetings and promised to have everything ready for our entertainment and everything ready for the meeting and arrangements to sleep and feed the multitudes.

But to my surprise, he placed us off with some mission people, who did not have any confidence in him and would not help him in the least. We were left there about a week, and we won the love of them so they went to the meeting and helped me in many ways. I went out to the grounds several miles from Bridgeport, hoping to find everything ready, but could not even find a place to board and pay my board.
The camp was quite a distance from town; there was no boarding house, no place for the people to sleep. Finally a woman took me in but had no room for my dear husband.

And now the saints began to come from all parts, the first party of about five from Canada; they, confound, said to me, “What will you do; you cannot stand this and have a meeting under these conditions?”
I answered, saying, “The meeting is advertised all over the country, and people are coming from everywhere, expecting to meet me, for it is announced that I am to have full charge of the services.So I will stay right here till the saints gather in, and see what can be done then. We must have a meeting at Long Hill.” I said. “We must be brave; you must come to our help.”

The journey of life needs patience

During A.A. Allen’s healing revival in Birmingham, AL, a mother from Knoxville brought her son for prayer. David was almost three years old and had been called “the most underdeveloped boy ever born in Tennessee.” He was paralyzed on his right side, blind in one eye, deaf, and mute. He couldn’t even crawl because his limbs were like twisted sticks and his feet were deformed. All total, he had twenty-six major diseases or defects in his body. His mother had been told by one doctor “only God can help your boy now.”

David’s mother took that statement literally. When she heard that Allen would be holding meetings in Birmingham, she knew she had to get there. As a single mother in 1959 with a special-needs child, this was no small task. Although it cost her all she had, she drove the 250 miles alone with her boy to get him to the revival. The Great Physician did not disappoint.

What happened at that meeting in Birmingham is called the “greatest miracle of A.A. Allen’s ministry.” As Allen held the boy in his arms and wept over him, suddenly two bright blue pupils appeared where once there was only the milky-grey of blindness. The boy’s limbs began to morph like putty into the correct shape. His tongue, which had hung out of his mouth limply before, snapped inside his mouth, and he began to call out his first words “Mama! Mama!” And when he caught sight of her, he took his first steps to go embrace his mother. He was completely healed!

However, the Lord did not end there. God wasn’t going to leave anything unfinished. The tent was full of people with significant needs. Spontaneously, with no one praying for them, every person in a wheelchair stood up altogether, totally healed. Every person in a stretcher got up the same way. People began running to the front so they could throw their hearing aids on the altar. Then came the glasses. Then came the walking sticks for the blind. Every single person was healed as the glory of God rested under that tent that night.

THINGS WERE HARD, HOW MY LIFE WAS TRANSFORMED– Dr Myles Munroe

I was born in a family of eleven(11) children, I’m number six(6). I was born in a wooden house on four(4) big rocks for keeping the wooden house from being underground. These wooden house had two bedrooms and another room that served as kitchen, dinning, sitting room all in one. One bedroom was for my mother and father, while the other bedroom was for my seven(7) sisters. Myself and my three(3) brothers had to sleep on the wooden floor and mosquitoes was our best friends.

I remember many times, we couldn’t sleep because of the mosquitoes and we live that way but we were very happy because we didn’t know we were poor. I remember our father and mother telling us we must learn the Bible, no matter how difficult life became and they will teach us from the Bible about God and about Jesus Christ and about His sacrifice for our sins. As kids, we grew up with those conditions, as you grow up, you began to ask yourself some questions, ”why are we poor?” because you began to see other people lifestyles.

I remember crying to God at age 13, telling Him that if you exist, you better speak to me and explain this to me. It was at age 13 my life was transformed because that night at 3am under the stars of Bahamas with tears running down my face, asking God to explain to me why we were poor..

His answer was simple, He said, because of your mind.

That began a journey for me, I surrender my life to God that night at age 13 and I never went back. At age 14, I wrote on paper everything I wanted to be and to do. Something happened from sleeping on the floor and flying my own jet. What happened is, I had a mental transformation. Nothing changes until your mind changes.
You can change your clothes but still of the old mind.
You can change your location but still of the old mind.
You can change your house and still of the old mind. Nothing changes until your mind changes!

Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge Basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution In Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered From death.
John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison Island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation on Patmos . The apostle John was later freed and returned to serve As Bishop of Edessa in modern Turkey . He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully

5. Peter
He was crucified upside down on an x-shaped cross.
According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die In the same way that Jesus Christ had died.

6. James
The leader of the church in Jerusalem , was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, his
enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.
* This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation.

7. James the Son of Zebedee,
was a fisherman by trade when Jesus Called him to a lifetime of ministry. As a strong leader of the church, James was beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial. Later, the officer Walked beside James to the place of ex*****on. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and Knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.

8. Bartholomew
Also known as Nathaniel Was a missionary to Asia. He witnessed for our Lord in present day Turkey. Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip.

Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Gree

Many ministers were present at both the day and night meetings, and they asked all that had been blessed or healed to stand up. Several thousand arose in both services. They all stood and sang praises to God for the great work the Lord had done.
Some of the worse men and boys, those that had given us the most trouble, would not leave until the police had brought them up to say good-bye. With tears running from their eyes, they begged us to forgive them for what they had done and asked us to pray that they might be saved.”

THE ROAR OF THE WOUNDED LIONESS.

She was living an ordinary life, she got married to the love of her life and wanted to spend the rest of her life as a submissive housewife, because she believed that was all there is to her.

UNTIL...

She lost her husband just seven years after marriage, the sword of life inflicted a painful wound on her, the pain was great, she couldn't eat, she couldn't sleep, all she could do was cry, and gradually her cry turned to a roar.

She began to roar and as she started roaring that was when she realized that she wasn't meant to end up as just a submissive housewife, she is the powerhouse whose prayers will birth the Messiah of the world.

Her name is ANNA the Prophetess.
The first in order of the intecessors of Yahweh.
Women whose prayers are meant to birth a move in the world.

Today i write to the women rising in the order of Anna.
They bear a code name in the spirit, they are called, "The Wounded Lioness."

Many of them don't have the kind of beauty that will make them appear as the face of magazines on Earth, but they stand in heaven as the face of God to a generation.

Most of them don't have the kind of shape many like, but they carry the fire that can shape generations.

Most of them have a very tiny voice but trapped within them is a roar that can shake the jungles of the world.

And because of how great their roar is, Yahweh configured it that the sword of life must inflict a wound on them so that they can let out that roar.

That's why their roar is called, "The roar of the Wounded Lioness"
They have to be wounded to let out a roar.

I write to the intecessors that the sword of life have inflicted psychological, and emotional hurt on.
It is the birth pang of your intecessory ordination.

The heartbreak you experienced, was not because you can't handle a relationship, it was a wound inflicted on you to roar out the heartbeat of God for a generation.

When a woman is about to give birth she experience pains, and that pain gives her a signal to go to the hospital where she is taken to the labour room.

It is same with you intecessors, the pain you are experiencing is a signal that it is time for you to enter the labour room of the spirit.

Don't allow the pain push you to the wrong location.
The pain is not for you to go on social media platforms to seek answers, asking them to hide your identity.

It is for you to go to the secret place and discover your identity in Zion.
It is for you to journey into the realm of the spirit and bring answers to the questions men are asking on Earth.

I know it is painful that you were r***d and your virginity was broken.
But there is a roar in you that can break virgin paths in the spirit. ROAR

The pain crippled you, because God don't want you to walk out of your ordination, stay there and Roar.

Roar, wounded Lioness roar.
Convert that unbearable pain to unimaginable power.
Use your tears in the place of intercession as a currency to purchase possibilities in the business done in deeper realms.

When the warriors of Yahweh are ready for war, it is the wounded Lioness that roar out the battle cry, summoning the warriors from all corners of the world to stand according to their rank.

Dear wounded Lioness you are pregnant with a powerful roar that can birth a move in a generation.
Don't abort the roar.
Enter the labour room of the spirit and ROAR.

Rev. Graham knew he had a special responsibility when he came to the invitation at the close of his sermon. With a million present, it would have been easy to trigger a mass reaction. He, therefore, made his invitation harder than usual. "If you're willing to forsake all other gods, stand up." There was a hush in the audience at first. I always tell young people, stop looking for employment. Why don't you position yourself differently and look for deployment.
To be employed means somebody else is benefiting from your energy. To deploy yourself means that you are using your own energy to be productive. Instead of waiting for somebody to give you a job, create your own work.
That's why I tell people, there is a difference between your work and your job.
*Your job is what they trained you to do, your work is what you were born to do.
*Your job is your skill, which they can fire you from at anytime. But your work is your gift, no one can take that from you.
*Your job is when you get compensation for activity, your work is when you get fulfilment because you love it somuch.
*Your job, you can retire from. Your work, you can never retire from it because your work is you.
So, when a person discover their work, they nolonger need a job. Because their work make them productive.
Their are young people full of talent, full of gift. I want to say this; every problem in life is a business. All business is something someone saw in a problem. So the more problem, the more businesses is available for people to begin.
And this is what i think we are lacking;
*We are trained to get a job, we are not trained to start a business.
*We are trained to let other people employ us, not trained to deploy ourselves..

One time, I asked the Holy Spirit what is his definition of the guilt people feel even after they ask God for forgiveness and he told me.

"Guilt is picking up the stone Jesus never threw at you, and throwing it at yourself."

He went further and explained to me that, when the woman caught in aldutery was brought to Jesus, only Jesus was qualified to throw a stone at her, but he never threw the stone, rather he forgave her and told her to go in peace.

And just like that woman, he has forgiven a lot of people, and has refused to throw stones at them, but the devil has come up with a strategy and that is the guilt people feel even after Jesus has forgiven them.

Guilt is when the devil makes you pick up the stone Jesus never threw at you and throw it at yourself even after Jesus has forgiven you.

I know someone need to hear these words.

DROP THAT STONE.

JESUS HAS FORGIVEN YOU.

HE DIDN'T THROW THE STONE AT YOU, SO DON'T YOU DARE ALLOW THE DEVIL MAKE YOU THROW THE STONE AT YOURSELF THAT JESUS DIDN'T THROW AT YOU.

Daniel was already in the Lion's den when God showed up.

The three Hebrews boys were already in the fire when God showed up.

The children of Israel were already in front of the red sea when the miracle happened.

Lazarus was already dead for days before Jesus showed up.

Paul and Silas were already in the prison when God showed up.

If you look at all these situations, most humans beings will believe it is already too late.

But according to God's timing, He came right on time.

I know you are tempted to believe it is too late because you are already in the fire but we have a God who can still show up in the fire.

I know you are already giving up because you have been in that tomb of despair, and challenges for years now but we have a God who can still show up even when you are already in the tomb.

I know it feels like it is too late already.
But tonight God is saying to you.

"KEEP CALM CHILD, IT IS NOT TOO LATE, I AM RIGHT ON TIME."

THE 3 TYPES OF PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE..

1. The Leaf people
2. The Branch people
3. The Root people

LEAF PEOPLE:
These are people who come into your life just for a season. You can't depend on them because they are weak. They only come to take what they want, but if the wind comes they will leave.
You need to be careful of these people because they love you when things are okay, but when the wind comes they will leave you 🥺

BRANCH PEOPLE:
They are strong, but you need to be careful with them too. They break away when life becomes tough and they can't handle too much weight. They may stay with you in some seasons, but they will go when it becomes harder 😢

ROOT PEOPLE: These people are very important because they don't do things to be seen. They are supportive even if you go through a difficult time they will water you and they are not moved by your position they just love you like that ...

It's not all people you meet or are your friends, that will stay with you.
Only the root type of people will stay no matter the season 👏☺️

150 Years From Now

150 years from now, none of us reading this post today will be alive. 70 percent to 100 percent of everything we are fighting over right now will be totally forgotten. Underline the word, TOTALLY.

If we go back memory lane to 150 years before us, that will be 1872, none of those that carried the world on their heads then are alive today. Almost all of us reading this will find it difficult to picture anybody's face of that era.

Pause for a while and imagine how some of them betrayed their relatives and sold them as slaves for a piece of mirror. Some k*lled family members just for a piece of land or tubers of yam or cowries or for a pinch of salt. Where is the yam, cowries, mirror, or salt that they were using to brag? It may sound funny to us now, but that is how s*lly we humans are sometimes, especially when it comes to money, power or trying to be relevant.

I remember those days in my secondary school, how some people fought and did so many unimaginable things just to have their names shortlisted among those to be made school Prefects. Ordinary school Prefects o! But today nobody in that school right now remembers that I even schooled there despite my popularity then. Now, imagine what happens after 150 years!

Even when you claim the internet age will preserve your memory, take Michael Jackson as an example. Michael Jackson died in 2009, just 13 years ago. Imagine the influence Michael Jackson had all over the world when he was alive. How many young people of today remember him with awe, that is if they even know him? In 150 years to come, his name, when mentioned, will not ring any bell to a lot of people.

Let us take life easy, nobody will get out of this world alive. . . The land you are fighting and ready to kill for, somebody left that land, the person is dead, rotten, and forgotten. That will also be your fate. In 150 years to come, none of the vehicles or phones we are using today to brag will be relevant. Biko, take life easy!

Let love lead. Let’s be genuinely happy for each other. No malice, no backbiting. No jealousy. No comparison. Life is not a competition. At the end of the day, we will all transit to the other side. It is just a question of who gets there first, but surely we will all go there someday.

APOSTLE BABALOLA’S KIND OF PRAYER
The great Apostle Babalola went to preach the gospel in a demonic town and he went to the king in the place to ask for land to build the church.
The king who was also a demonic person was not interested in the gospel; he also was practically a demon in his own right. He gave the man of God the forbidden bush. A bush where nobody goes.
When pregnant women die they throw them there. When people with familiar spirit die they throw them there
Nobody goes there.
Those who have ventured to go in, they did not last 24 hours there before they died. That was the place the king gave to the man of God.
Baba Babalola thanked the king profusely, while the king was just looking at him, ‘why is this one thanking us’.
And Apostle Babalola went out, took his prayer warriors and they went to the bush.
When they got there, the man of God began to pray, Some of those who were there that day with cutlass to cut the bush, they are still alive- they told us what I am telling you.
As they got there, the man of God rang his bell and with a very loud voice (because) the man had a loud voice.
In their days, there were no microphones and they addressed thousands of people
He said ‘O God arise and let your enemies in this bush be scattered’
That was all he said
Suddenly, they heard some people running and as they were running, they were colliding on each other.
They felt that people were falling and rising up inside the bush
Some were jamming themselves into the trees, they never saw anybody but they heard the sound of the scattering.
Your prayer today shall release confusion into the camp of the enemy.
They were running helter skelter.
After some time, there was calm and he ordered them to begin to cut the bush.
As they were cutting the bush, from the mountains, they saw a mighty python crawling down.
Those cutting the grasses wanted to run away.
Baba said ‘stay there’, continue to cut your grass.
They continued to cut and the serpent came majestically, the kind of python that could swallow a human without trace.
The serpent did not go to anybody else but Apostle Babalola.
Baba watched this snake coming and was not impressed at all.
As the snake approached, he just said ‘let the fire of the God of Elijah fall upon this serpent’
It was as if electricity passed through this serpent and it just dried up.
May any serpent assigned against you dry up!

PEOPLE WERE CALLING KATHERINE KUHLMAN HUSBAND SNATCHER BECAUSE SHE MADE A MISTAKE

Church History has it that there was a time Katherine Kuhlman, the great healing evangelist made a mistake in her lifetime – she married a man who had divorced his wife. Everyone began to call her, husband snatcher. Within a short period of time, invitations to her for ministration crashed all the way down. Nobody wanted to do anything with her anymore. She said that with all the anointing that she carried, everywhere appeared close. In addition, the ‘mistake’ marriage also failed.

One day, she said she was walking on a street in total dejection and realized that the street was a close. At the end of that street which she called a dead end, she stood in frustration and depression, and told God, “Lord, I am at the end of myself. I don’t even know what to do with my life. I feel like I am nothing right now, and if you have ever used a “Nothing” to do something before, please take this “Nothing” and use this “Nothing” for your glory”.

And God heard her and picked that “Nothing” which she was and that “Nothing” shook her world – wheelchairs emptied, blind eyes saw, the lame walked, etc. all because she presented herself as “Nothing”, and God picked her and turned her into a generational wonder. ndepotv

Beloved, maybe you think you have nothing, or maybe you think you are nothing, I would like to congratulate you because God is a Specialist in making something out of nothing.

LORD, take me and use me as an instrument in Your Hands, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

Be humble, love people and invest in people. Because today you are flying up the sky, tomorrow you will need someone on the ground to carry you.

Lesson - in life, remember to be humble n kind to others. We are all interconnected, and success is achieved with the help of others. Avoid underestimating those around you and instead support and uplift them because tomorrow it's mystery

AT 90 WITH GOD (Genesis 21 : 1 - 3 )
Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is a world wide favourite restaurant. The owner of this restaurant colonel Sanders at age 5 he lost his father, at age 16 he quit school, at 17 he lost four jobs, at 18 he got married, at 19 he became a father and between that age and 22 he tried to be a rail conductor but failed. At 20 the marriage ended. He tried to enrol in law failed and tried to kidnap his only child failed. He settled for a restaurant job as a dishwasher and a cook. The only thing he managed to get was convince his wife to return. At age 65 he retired and got a cheque of $105. This proved to him he was a failure and the world saying he was useless. He decided to end his life sat down under a tree to write a will on how that money could be shared. As he was working out on how to commit su***de some voice told him that this meant there was a lot he had not accomplished in life. Reversing his decision he borrowed $87 from that cheque and started to cook a meal with the recipe he best knew and sold it to neighbours in Kentucky. At 88 to become a billionaire. The empire you see today. God is never too late to change a status nor too late to act. By the time you say I give up God has not given up on you. God like in Abraham doesn't fail even at 90 or 88 like to Sanders. Do you think you have tried but failed? Hold on God does not try but he is waiting for you to discover that with him all things are possible and in what you think is not worth a billion there are some financial breakthrough through it. In simple things God can supply more than you think in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

He committed no crime,
yet they crucified Him.

He was buried in a tomb,
yet He lives today.

I feel honoured to serve such a Leader who loves us.

Join me and let's celebrate Him; He is worthy.

The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil,

The hand that will send this message to everybody shall not labor in vain,

and The mouth saying Amen to this prayer shall smile forever.

Remain in God and seek his face always.

Amen!

In God I've found everything!
