B2B: Creatives Edition returns with Support from Cosoma’s Copyright Fund!

Continuing from 2021 when we launched the Bants2Business: through an event, panel discussion and pitch competition, we are now growing the platform to include more resources, more support and more conversations to support and grow Malawi’s cultural and creative industries!

B2B: The Creatives Edition aims at inspiring creative entrepreneurs across Malawi by taking insights from creative and business development experts to develop into a resource for young creatives so that they can meet the market’s ever-changing needs packaged in a creative format that entertains whilst informing our target audience.

The second edition of B2B: Creatives Edition will be supported by a grant awarded through COSOMA’s Copyright Fund and implemented by Bien Corporation Africa in partnership with Kwathu Kowork hub, under the Kwathu Kollective, and Ntha Foundation in Lilongwe. https://bants2business.com/cosoma/

Creatives Edition | COSOMA ANNOUNCEMENT - Bants2Business Bants2Business, under Bien Corporation Africa, is excited to be selected as a recipient of the Copyright Fund in the 3rd Call for Applications for the implementation of our upcoming initiative titled “Bants2Business: Creatives Edition”.

We are still going strong with Bants2Business - bringing you the 9th edition, and our second in Mangochi: the edition!

Innovation is undeniably a catalyst for development, hence this dialogue being very important for a developing nation like . There is a need for the country’s public sector to improve its service delivery, so communities can lead better lives having smart cities.

- What is a smart city?

- Where are we now, as Malawi?

- What do we need to do to progress and work towards having smart(er) and eco-friendly cities?

This conversation fully funded by the World Bank through the Digital Malawi Project, as operationalised by the Public Private Partnership Commission on behalf of the Malawi Government, in partnership with the Ntha Foundation (Kwathu Innovation & Creative Centre.

The Bants2Business panel session will aim at sharing best practices for enhancing Public Sector Innovation with specific emphasis on establishing Smart Cities.

MEET THE SPEAKERS

Ngabaghila Chatata is the Managing Director of Thanthwe Farms. She is a Sociologist by training and a farmer/entrepreneur by passion, having started her entrepreneurial journey in 2012.

Ngaba wants to make a difference for rural communities in Malawi and therefore shares her knowledge of cultivation techniques and market access with local farming communities.
