Good afternoon, allow me highlight on some of the things that my government is going to do if voted into power.
You can recall that we have been complaining that the state president is having unnecessary foreign and local trips, you should note that when the president is travelling, a lot of huge expenses are met.
You can agree with me that the state president is making a lot of foreign trips when we actually have embassies in foreign countries. Its high time the president should learn to delegate some of the meetings and save Malawian's taxes.
If voted into power I will make sure that I have empowered embassies, local government, city councils to run some of the affairs of government so as to minimise presidential trips and save money to be used in different sectors.
Look at how people are suffering in government hospitals, people can no longer access free medical treatment as public hospitals do not have medicine in stock, talk of inadequate resources of learning materials in our public schools, the bad state of our roads, recently we have witnessed the demonstrations organised by the concerned people from Rumphi and Chitipa.
For so long our roads have not been considered despite several promises to construct them.
If voted into power I will make sure that all these issues are well addressed and resolved.
Lets join hands for a better Malawi.
ON THE TOLLGATES FRAUD.
Good afternoon fellow Malawians, let me share with you on how disappointed I am with the revelation that K10 million was abused in our toll gates.
Earlier this week, Malawians were shocked to hear that the Roads Fund Administration (RFA ), has busted a syndicate that government is skimmed off millions of Kwachas through the issuance of fake receipts to people at Chingeni tool gate and Kalinyeke toll plaza in Balaka and Dedza respectively.
Its barely few months since the country introduced the toll gates system but look Malawian’s taxes are being abused.
Its high time government must wake up from slumber, address corruption and abuse in the country.
Look how bad the economy is reflecting in this country and government is still on a slumber mood. What else are we waiting for?
Talk of a rise in prices of necessities in the country and instead of those funds to serve intended purpose they are being pocketed by few selfish individuals.
It is sad to note that government is slow in dealing with such perpetrators, my government will introduce payback money initiative which will force people involved in such syndicate to pay back the money.
Lets build a better Malawi.
ON MY DECISION TO CONTEST FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE.
Alot of people have been asking on my earlier decision to stand as a president, what new things am I bringing? Why am I different to others? Well, tonight you will have an insight on that.
First and foremost as a country we should admit that we need a fundamental structural change, others may ask what am trying to say? It's time we should sit down and go back to all different sectors of education, health, economy, agriculture, mining and implement new policies that will in turn develop this country. You can agree with me that the past regimes we have trusted have failed to fix problems that these sectors encounter.
It is unfortunate that this time we should be talking of inadequate stock of medicine in our hospitals, its pathetic that most of government hospitals instead of treating people they are becoming death traps where people are contracting diseases.
In this century, students in government primary schools are learning under the trees, inadequate teaching and learning materials, poor salaries for teachers and that students in public universities are withdrawing because they don't have tuition fees, where are we heading to as a country?
The agriculture sector which is considered the back borne of this country's economy there are rampant problems surrounding the so called affordable input program which to me I don't consider it affordable. It is high time that we can empower our farmers to be in cooperatives and start producing goods from their harvests.
In all these you can see that our leaders are not considerate enough and they are telling us that they will open six new embassies, a development that will also cost Malawians. It's time to start cutting costs and invest in sectors that can help the economy of the country.
These are just some of the reasons that I want to stand as a president, they are so many but I have just mentioned a few.
POVERTY BY CHOICE, TOURISM CAN TRANSFORM THE ECONOMY
Good evening. Allow me to share with you how this country is still anguishing in extreme poverty despite having resources and capability to boost our economy.
You can agree with me that our country is surrounded by beautiful sceneries that have possibilities of attracting tourists thereby generating revenue that can run the affairs of government.
This country is blessed with fresh water from Lake Malawi and you are aware that there are districts that are surrounding Lake Malawi, we can talk of Mangochi, Salima, Nkhotakota and Nkhatabay. You can have questions like mine, What is government doing to these districts to make them income generating places? How much are we investing in beautiful sceneries?
It's high time we make huge investments and generate foreign currency.
We have witnessed that our economy can hardly sustain itself on agriculture because of climate change and other factors, other options this time around are of paramount.
It is my vision that upon assuming presidency of this country, my government will make sure that we make a huge investment in tourism sector by making these Lakeshore districts attractive to tourists.
It is my vision that we will make sure that we have five star hotels in these Lakeshore districts because you can agree with me that tourists prefer to spend their good time in Lakeshore hotels.
ON GOVERNMENT’S CREATION OF JOBS AMONG THE YOUTH.
Fellow Malawians, this morning I would like to share with you my disappointment with the current regime`s failure to fulfil its promise of creating jobs among the youth. You might recall that the Tonse government made a promise to Malawians to create 1 million jobs among the youth.
You might agree with me that youth empowerment is vital towards the development of any country but up to date there is no tangible thing that we can point to show that the Tonse government has indeed created a room for young people to be employed or employing themselves.
The seriousness of any government should be seen when they are doing some developments that directly or indirectly can support the needs of the youth, it was hope for every Malawian that the introduction of National Economic Empowerment (NEEF) might help the youth of this country, but many of them are in dilemma, as they cannot freely access the loans.
It is for this reason that many have come to realise that youths of this country are being taken for granted and they are only being used during the campaign period.
I want to assure Malawians that as a presidential hopeful, government through my leadership will create an enabling environment for the youth which among others will make sure that funds that are meant for the youths are used appropriately. On this, we will put deliberate strategies to allow the youth access funds for entrepreneurship.
In conclusion, let me call upon government to clearly come out and tell Malawians the specific jobs that they claim to have created for the youths.
Let’s join hands for a better Malawi.
As the country`s export rate is still on the lower side, let me assure Malawians of my total commitment to boost the country`s export rate which will create more job opportunities and generate foreign currency, among others I will cut presidential foreign trips as one way of reducing unnecessary expenditure.
It is sad that while Malawians are anguishing in extreme poverty, the state president continue to have foreign trips that in turn do not help the country.
We already know that when the president leaves the country there are huge expenses that are incurred that could have been diverted to pertinent issues.
If you vote and trust my leadership then this country will develop, If ushered into power I will reduce the privileges of government officials as they are just too much for the country to step forward.
Let’s make Malawi a better place for everyone.

REACTION TO RECENT REVELATION THAT GOVERNMENT WILL USE 1.4 BILLION KWACHA FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ORTON CHIRWA MAUSOLEUM
Greetings fellow Malawians, as we continue walking together towards the dawn of visionary leadership, today I want to show you how this country continue to suffer because of unnecessary expenditures that at the end yields nothing to the country. Mind you I am not just standing here to criticise but to also come up with various ways that can be beneficial towards the building of new Malawi through my leadership.
Let me start to share with you that honouring people who contributed to the freedom or success of this country is of great paramount but at the same time it should be done with caution, timing and at the same time looking at our priorities as a country. Countries across the world have honoured such kind of people in different ways like Tanzania honoured Julius Nyerere by constructing airport bearing his name likewise here in Malawi we have done that before to the late Hastings Kamuzu Banda and Bingu Wa Mutharika.
My views on 1.4 billion kwacha proposed Orton Chirwa’s mausoleum. Through my visionary leadership I would take the suggestion of honouring him by constructing or bringing an idea to construct something bearing his name that in turn could help to bring revenue to the nation at the same time making his name to stand up to next generations.
Misallocation of resources will continue to derail the development of this country because our leaders are prioritising issues that in turn do not benefit the country. My request to government is to consider coming up with something within the 1.4 billion kwacha that will add value to the country or stick to the president’s decision that he announced on martyr’s day to construct an airport bearing his name.
Good afternoon colleagues, we announced yesterday that today two lucky winners who will share this page will each walk away with 4,000 kwacha airtime. The lucky winners are Ril Derrex Mw and Star wa Mondeya, please inbox your numbers to get your airtime. Remember to like and share this page.

REMARKS ON A REQUEST BY PARLIAMENTARY CLUSTER THAT MK8.1 BILLION BE ALLOCATED TO STATE HOUSE RESIDENCES.
Esteemed colleagues, as I said earlier during my welcoming remarks on this page that as a presidential hopeful, I will be sharing with you what I fill is best for the country’s development. I want to start sharing with you my disappointment and position on the earlier request by parliamentary cluster that MK8.1 billion be allocated to state house residences.
There is a request that state house should be allocated with MK8.1 billion to renovate state residences, it is an insult to Malawians looking at the extent of poverty in the country. One could ask how many hospitals, school blocks, roads or medicines could such an amount build or buy?. You can agree with me that we have challenges in our hospitals and schools which I believe could have been priorities. In this century we have witnessed leaders that are good at speaking but they fail to fulfil what they said.
What are my views on state houses renovations as a presidential hopeful?
Fellow Malawians, let me say part of my manifesto and this is what am going to do if ushered into power regarding state residences. As your president, am only going to use one state house that is Kamuzu palace and turn the others like Sanjika, Chikoko Bay, Mtunthama and Mzuzu state lodge into profit making facilities like hotels and lodges so that we get revenues at the same time creating jobs among the youths.
The closing of these state residences will help to cut expenses like that of renovation, you can agree with me that Malawi is small about 600 miles from Nsanje to Chitipa that means the president can be using a helicopter if he/she wants to operate in the northern or southern region of the country.
These facilities will be run by government but the main emphasis will be to cut state house expenses and generate money. Malawi is not poor but they way our leaders operate their duties leaves a lot to be desired. It is time for us Malawians to wake up from slumber and vote for visionary leaders who are capable of changing this country not those who just talk to win the hearts of Malawians.
Greetings fellow Malawians, my name is Alex Tengani Chanthunya am a young malawian. I have created this page in order to be closer to you so that we can have ample time to discuss various issues that are very crucial in as far as development of the country is concerned.
It is my expectation that through this page we will be able to analyse together various issues that are affecting malawians and also to share what I feel as a young politician I can do to overcome such challenges. You can agree with me that since the dawn of democracy we have seen leaders changing but the development of the country is still going at snail's pace but we don't talk talk about these issues.
As I said, I feel it's time to rise and talk about these issues because it is clear that our leaders are taking us for granted, they don't seem to care the interests of malawians. In a nutshell I can just say they are failing to walk the talk.
