COUNSELLING FOR HEALTHY MINDS😊😊😊

Timeline photos 21/03/2023

My name is Karen Kadzombe.. One of the few professional counselors in Malawi.. I graduated from Blantyre International University in 2017 and am currently working at Kamuzu Central Hospital (Epilepsy Clinic)
The reason I decided to create this page is to raise awareness on the benefit of counseling and also help those that may be experiencing any psychological problems such as those listed on my info and many more......

I like to believe that if Malawi had more counselors perhaps it would be a better nation that would help eradicate issues to do with the increase in the number of people committing su***de today in Malawi, mental health issues and also the increase in deaths through depression.

The youth would also benefit in making Malawi a free drug and alcohol abuse nation. In considering that the youth today have also been affected by mental health problems due to the increase in drugs and alcohol abuse.

Working at Kamuzu Central Hospital has made me realize that not all sicknesses are a result of germs, Bacteria and infections but some are a result of psychological problems that a person may be experiencing. Such as Severe Depression, Stress, Anger and Severe Grief

Even in a social setting some behaviors that people show in our communities explain so much more than what we see...

So counseling is a very important element in helping the world become a better place...

With the effects of Cyclone Fred that have left many in a traumatic state and has brought about anxiety and other post traumatic stress disorders. Counselling could be the answer to bringing back a healthy mind...

So if you know of anyone who needs any psychological support or any oragnisation that is working to healp those that have been affected feel free to contact me....

Not all arguments should lead to fights, not all fights should lead to separation, and not always must separation lead to divorce...

As crazy at it may sound but couseling plays an important role in building marriages and also relationships.

Some may ask how?!?!

Simply because issues discussed with a professional counselor are kept private and confidential unlike if they are discussed with friends and relatives... sometimes situations get worse in marriage because people discussed with a friend or family member who disclosed to another. Sometimes relationships also fail due to negative advice.

In counseling privacy and confidentiality are kept and client's have the autonomy in solving their problems.

So if you know of someone who would benefit from this...Search no more psychosocial support with Karen kadzombe is here to help them and you...

Sometimes its not always about experience...sometimes it's mostly about the knowledge, ability, skills and willingness to serve others...

So if your curious to find out more contact me and will discuss....

I may not be able to change the world but counseling has given me the chance to play a role in changing peoples perception, helping people overcome suicidal thoughts , mending broken families and also helping people deal with their problems through Autonomy... So I may not hold the title of Wonder woman but at least I know am making the world a better place for someone somewhere...the thought of that makes my days....

10th February 2020 is this year's day put aside to celebrate The International Epilepsy Day. On this day people around the world raise awareness on issues to do with Epilepsy.

Epilepsy is a central nervous system (neurological) disorder in which brain activity becomes abnormal, causing seizures or periods of unusual behavior, sensations, and sometimes loss of awareness.

Epilepsy can be treated in different medical insitutions. Here in Malawi some Public medical insitutions like Kamuzu Central Hospital, provide free access to medication and psychosocial support, to those that suffer from the disorder.

Suffering from Epilepsy is not a limitation to living a happy life, Neither is it a limitation to a bright future. Just like any disability ' Epilepsy is not an Inability of achieving great things...

So Join us In raising awareness and reducing the number of deaths caused by lack of awareness on issues to do with Epilepsy in Malawi, by sharing this post on your timeline.....πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€
