From out of the Ghetto comes Malawi's new sensational reggae outfit - Soul Raiders Band. This former college band started in 2001 at University of Malawi - Chancellor College; revived in January 2011 it now consists of 3 original members and 4 other talented young musicians with super-blessed with reggae music command.

Botswana yuh ready?
Yes, Raiders fam. The reggae band is ready for independence celebrations that will see it give performances in Lilongwe as well as beyond our borders. We will begin with a free ghetto concert in Falls Estate courtesy of Green Shelter Pubs on July 1st. We will join Wailing Brothers and other reggae artists at LLs for the independence reggae concert at LLsBurg, along M1 road on July 2nd.
We then hit the road taking the ultimate live reggaeXperience to Gaberone, Botswana and South Africa on July 8th and 9th respectively. Watch this space for more updates.

Our whole idea of live music is reggae and probably no other artist has influenced our sound and philosophy more like the king himself since the earliest of days. "One bright morning, when my work is over, I will fly away home". And fly away he did exactly 36 years ago, on a day like this, after completion of his mission. As we remember the late great Bob Marley, we @ the Soul Raiders, salute the King and appreciate his immense contribution to world music. Reggae's king!
