Greetings from Puerto Morelos in the Riviera Maya ☺️😍

After a long wait for paperwork, the other week my awesome client Rudy was finally able to sign the ownership papers for his Playa condo 🙏🙏☺️☺️👏👏

The past few months have been an exercise in patience, as the purchase process in Mexico, especially when it comes to move-in ready properties, involves a few steps and a few different entities working together: agents, lawyers, municipality that issues things like the no-debt certificate on the property, and at least one Notaría (notary’s office), which in Mexico is the only legal entity allowed to register a property title into the public record. If in addition to that there’s a bank involved that either issues or has to cancel a mortgage, prepare to be even more patient 😉

While the city of Istanbul may be branding itself as “the meeting place of the world”, I certainly feel Playa Del Carmen is a lot like that too! 😊

Such was the case with this beautiful international transaction involving an American seller (my client, 3rd from the left in the pictures) and this lovely freedom loving couple from Holland (the buyers, represented by their Mexican realtor Dayana, on the right in the pictures.)

I am grateful for how this wonderful trans-Atlantic transaction came about. Angels orchestrating once again to create a win-win for everyone involved 🙏☺️

Thankful also for my client’s lawyer Katia Canul and her partner Pamela Arteaga for assisting my client with all the needed paperwork and thanks also to the MexLaw team for assisting the buyers in this case.

I know our angels are always orchestrating for us. Sometimes, they really outdo themselves! Such was the case of my synchronistic encounter with these lovely Romanian-Canadian clients, Gina & Mihai, who my dear Mom met ‘randomly’ at the beach last week.
