I am excited to announce that I have started with my new brokerage! I am with the Whissel Team, located locally here in San Diego.
The most exciting part is that our brokerage offer incentives to save buyers money, and we also offer a ālove it or leave it guaranteeā for our buyers, as well as options for off market properties.
I will talk more about that in the next few weeks.
Have an awesome day!
Hey - own a property in the San Diego area?
Because our local real estate market has dramatically shifted in the last few months, this week I'm personally doing custom home value reports for free.
You'll get...
- A clear number on what your home could sell for (Zillowās number is often off by 10-30%)
- Clarity on your financial situation in this market
- See what's possible for you and your family if you decide to sell your home and move
If you like the sound of that, private message me the word āhomeā!

I was reflecting on what makes me happyā¦
I have learned that everybody is different.
People have different experiences, different goals, different cultural backgrounds.
I recently made some very fulfilling connections that I am very happy about.
Itās not about how much money you make, and itās not about where you came from.
Most of the time, itās about the connection you feel with the person.
Donāt know about you, but making meaningful relationships makes me happy.
Knowing that I have friends who think about me and canāt wait to spend more time with me
makes me even happier.
I love getting to know people and learning from their experiences.
Reminder to selfā¦ Love your life. Live life to the fullest. Donāt let the small stuff get to you.
Have a great week!
The idea of selling a house can feel very overwhelming and stressful.
Over the years working with sellers, one of the most common things Iāve seen holding people back from selling...
And moving onto a new home that actually allows them to live the kind of lifestyle they want...
Is the lack of control, especially around time and money.
.. Can we actually afford it?.. What if we sell and donāt have an offer locked in on a new house at the same time?.. I donāt want to go through the hurdle of spending money and time to fix up the house.
If youāve sold a home before, you know what Iām talking about.
Now - what if you have a cash buyer?
There are investors out there who would be happy to take the property off your hands and just buy the property with cash.
If you sell to an investor, this will eliminate the need for staging, repairs and showings. Sometimes selling to a cash buyer is the best choice...
Iāve got a bunch of investors looking for homes to buy right now.
If youād like to see what theyād be willing to pay for your home, feel free to drop me a private message!
This was me and 3 cutie pies at SeaWorld last weekend.
They were told to stay behind the bars after monkeying around that area. š¤£
Fun day though.
Have a great weekend!
One of the biggest concerns I have come across from locals here in San Diego who have been thinking about movingā¦
Is that they are concerned about where they might live after selling.
If you are concerned about where you will live after selling, you have not talked to a real estate professional who is there for you.
After helping several people sell and buy homes over the past 4 years, I realized that the most important thing that people are concerned about when selling is that they canāt find a suitable replacement for their home.
So when I talk with people to help them figure out what their ideal new home looks like and how to get thereā¦
The first thing I ask people is the main reason they are looking for a new home.
Once we know that ā¦ then we devise a plan that will work for that family.
And lastlyā¦
Moving into a new home perfect for you and your family is the most important part of moving. Not to be homeless!
This is why I encourage everyone to find an agent who cares for you, and helps you prepare the financial and accommodation situation in place before planning for your next move.
Are you afraid that your home wonāt sell?
Or are you afraid that you wonāt be able to find a new home while you are selling your home?
This week, in San Diego county, there are 436 homes listed for sale. This is an 18% increase from last week.
This means that more people are listing their homes for sale.
The top 2 reasons people are selling homes now are:
1. They want to have a bigger home to accommodate their growing family
2. Their income has changed.
If that describes you, send me a DM. I will be happy to take a closer look at whether selling your home now makes sense for you, and show you what your options are.
So if you want to make your homeownership dreams a realityā¦
Hereās a tip most people havenāt heard of.
When you buy a home, you can actually skip the first monthās payment after closing.
This is all part of the home-buying strategy I have created to help you settle comfortably in your new home.
Now, if youād like to see exactly what kind of homes you could buy - and skip the first monthās paymentā¦ ;)
Send me a DM and Iāll send over a custom list of the best deals on the market that fit your criteria.š
I heard that it's National Daughter's day?Lol
Here's me and my mini-me.
Love how brave and extroverted you are, my cutie pie. š
Looking at my husband and I across the kitchen counter,
My little 4 year old will ask "Are you still married?"
She will ask this every few days.
Sometimes, when my husband and I hug, she will say "NO!!!!" and then run to my side, waiting for me to carry her. Meaning that she doesn't share her mom. LOL!
Little princess... stay cute. Mommy loves you so much! š
Being a first-time home seller is scary. Figuring out if it is time to sell the home that you have fallen in love with can be an emotional process.
At the same time, you want to get the best deal for your home and also find a nicer upgraded replacement for it. There is so much involved with itā¦. Planning and marketing, from home inspections to negotiationsā¦ can be a lot to handle.
That's why I've developed a process to make sure that the transaction goes as smoothly as possible.
Selling your home and moving should be fun!
I always start out by understanding WHY someone is moving in the first place.
See, everyone's situation is unique, and every home is unique, so it's important for me to understand exactly what my clients want.
Based on that, I put together a custom plan and a marketing strategy to sell the specific home for the best possible price.
When you work with me, I'll be in constant touch with you. I will provide you feedback on showings, negotiate on your behalf, and will be the person who will actually have your back during this process.
I also focus on building great relationships with the other agent, so that we can sell your home the way you wanted, and also get you into your dream home at the same time.š„°

Happy birthday to my hubby! Keep staying young at heart, my goofball! Love you! ā¤ļø
Hey! Want to get to know me better?
I first came to the US from Singapore to study at Hawaii Pacific University. I lived in Hawaii for 5 years and then moved back to Singapore for 3 years.
During those 3 years, I was very unhappy. I couldnāt see myself living and working in Singapore anymore.
My heart was to go back to the US and I was presented with an opportunity to move to San Diego to work for Hilton Hotel - I took it and Iāve lived here ever since.
After I met my husband and we had 2 kids, I wanted to do something with my life that my kids could be proud of.
I started thinking about my strengths, skills, and different options I could pursue, and really thought back to my college days, and what I wanted to do back then.
Back then I knew a realtor. He was very knowledgeable and fun to work with on my first transaction.
However, on my second transaction, I felt that he wasnāt really representing me and my interests very well.
I told him that I didnāt want a home with HOA, and I got one with HOA. He said it was a good house, and I trusted him.
On my final walk-through, I found the water pipes fell off the roof from one of the rooms and my agent sided with the listing agent and said they did everything they could to make me happy.
Going through this experience led me to think I could see myself being a realtor, and being a realtor who actually represents my clients, and not my own interest.
So I got my license and started helping people buy and sell homes.
Ever since my first day as a realtor, I have always had the above situation in mind.
I didnāt want to be an uncaring realtor who only cares about her commission.
I wanted to be an agent people would talk to for hours, feel a connection with me, love working with me, and truly know that I have their best interest at heart.
I want to be someoneās good friend, where they feel that they can trust me with what they have in their mind and be open with me about things.
You see, it takes a lot of courage and commitment to buy or sell a house.
If the client is half-hearted, it is best to take a step back and evaluate the situation that is best for him/her.
To know that I set my clients up on the right path, I sleep well at night.
And getting to see the satisfaction and the smiles on my clientās faces brings me a lot of fulfillment.
Today, Iām grateful to be helping families in San Diego sell their homes effortlessly for top dollar.
Just closed!
My client/friend, Jasie, and her husband had been renting for years. They got comfortable where they are, so they did not feel like they need to change anything.
Then one day, their landlord decided to sell her rental. The landlordās agent contacted her to see if they would be interested in buying the rental property that they had been comfortable with.
They were on the fence. It was a big purchase, so they said they need 2 weeks to think about it. She called me right away.
I wanted to make sure that they have a feel of the market, to see what other options are out there before really considering their current rental home as their home.
In that 2 weeks, they looked at houses, and put in some offers... nothing seemed to be the ideal home for them.
2 weeks came about... after speaking to the seller side,
They were ready to put in an offer on this house!
They wanted a home to fit their current situation. Location was very important to them. So they decided to go all out for this home.
This is why Jasie called me to represent them in this situation, my current knowledge of the Housing market helped Jasie and her husband to put in the Best offer and at the same time save them Thousands of dollars.
3 days later, the offer was accepted!
Congratulations to Jasie and Sen! I love it when you can own your home and stop making your landlord richer! I am very happy that this home worked out for you in your current situation.
If you want to start owning your home, DM me. Letās chat! š
Just sold!!!!
Someone just got the keys to their dream home!
Congratulations to Emmanuel and Lucrece!
Hereās their beautiful 5 bedroom, 3700 sq ft home with a tub and shower in the master bedroom that Lucrece really wanted.
Donāt they look so small compared to the house?
2 years ago, they bought their first home. About a year or more later, they were pregnant with their 3rd child. They decided to make use of the equity they have accumulated in that home to buy the home that they really wanted.
This is a new build. They waited for almost a year for this home to be built. Itās about time, right?
Thank you for trusting me again with your home purchase, Emmanuel and Lucrece! Time to celebrate!
There are lots of new construction right now, and they are having all sorts of deals for buyers. You might find something there you like too! Itās advisable to use a buyerās agent, because you want to have someone to represent you on your behalf.
Send me a DM if you are interested or if you have any questions.

Another happy homeowner!!! Just closed!
Congratulations to Kodjo and Sophie for taking the first step to getting their very first home!
This couple has been wanting to get a home for YEARS!!!!
They had been told that they couldnāt afford one. They saw their friends and co-workers buying their homes, and they thought... āwhen is our turn?ā
Sophie contacted me, saying that her husband was not ready to buy a house yet. She initially wanted to start off getting an investment home with her sister. Now, having an investment home would mean putting a 20% down payment. She couldnāt afford it.
She finally convinced her husband to get on board with this home-buying thing. Then he got more involved with it than her!
We put in a total of 3 bids. Rejected twice.
Before we got the answer from the third one, Kodjo called me and said
āI think I want to give up. Itās too hard.ā
I told him āWeāre almost there. Hang on. Donāt give up! I will help you and your wife get a house. I promise!ā
I did a comp for the house, and we put in the max they could afford. I thought it was a little far-fetched. I felt good about it though because we put in their max. If we donāt get this one, we will have to move on.
The next day, we got a call from the listing agent.
āSellers are choosing your clientās offerā
We were surprised. Maybe we got lucky. But it was meant to be.
Sophie liked this house more than any other houses they saw prior.
Kodjo said āHappy wife, happy lifeā.
Heās an intelligent man.
Thanks for not giving up on yourself, Kodjo!
If you are looking for a home to call your own and had been told no by others,
Or if you are about to give up on getting yourself a home, shoot me a message.
I promise that I will do everything I can to help you.
Nothing gives me more joy than to see happy families getting the home of their dreams. My past clients can attest to that.

Just closed! Congratulations to Abiegail and German for finally owning their first home! They had been renting for donkey years, and got comfortable with renting for a while. Then Abiegail wanted something more. She wanted something for retirement, a home she could call her own. Then she convinced her husband, German to be part of the home ownership.
Their criteria were pretty simple. They want a garage and a small backyard, enough for a barbecue. We made sure these two criteria are met.
We put in 2 other offers before this, but they were not accepted. Close running though. We were the backup offers for these 2 as well. It dampened up the mood. With their work schedule, it was hard to coordinate showings too.
Then, on this faithful day, this house was on the market, and they were able to view it together. We put in an offer right away, and the rest was history!
It was meant to be! This one saved them $60,000 from the last house they thought was āthe houseā. Also, the house across the street with the exact same layout and size closed $30,000 more than their house. Woo hoo!!!! Huge win!!!
By the way, we got the call for the 2nd house with the backup offer. It just goes to show that it is possible for homes to fall out of escrow. They have the choices, and they still choose this house.
So happy for you guys, Abiegail and German. Enjoy your new home!

Just sold.... Congratulations to Mark!
Mark is a great guy. Owning a home has always been his dream. He knows about the benefits of owning a home. But, he is so afraid to step into it!
Financially, he always thought that he canāt afford it. He has been renting for years, and finally decided to take the plunge after consulting with me.
He realized that he can be preapproved, and he can afford the payments!
He is also locked in at a low-interest rate.
Woo hoo!!!! Great job, Mark! I am so proud of you!!!!
Enjoy your new home!
