Easter this year falls on March 31st. It is not a fixed date but varies between 22nd of March and the 25th of April. The date is established as the first Sunday after the full moon following the Spring Equinox. Easter day is somewhat hard to calculate as it is based on the Julian calender not the presently used Georgian calender and the "Pascal Moon" not the actual moon.

This is one of the brightest comets that will be visible to the naked eye during our lifetimes...

Hello everyone,

We are having a party to celebrate the winter solstice on December 22nd, the shortest day of the year. To almost all ancient cultures this day marked the end of the year and the beginning of the new, Christmas and New Years are our modern interpretations of this day's celebrations. The winter solstice marks the end of increasingly shorter days of sunlight. From this day forward the sun will begin its journey north on the horizon and higher in the sky producing longer and warmer days assuring the sun's life giving energy will provide another harvest season maintaining our sustained existence. The tunnels of the baths are aligned precisely on the solstice so that on this day each year the setting sun shines straight down the center of the quart/crystal tunnel shimmering off the walls and water and reflect on the back wall of the cave 150 feet back inside. Sunset is at 6pm and we will be opening the baths at 4:00pm in order to give everyone a chance to be settled in the water before that. As usual we will be serving dinner, probably about 7:30....
