SRII-IIT Annual Iftar Jama'ie & Qiyamullail 2024 Part 2

SRII-IIT Annual Iftar Jama'ie & Qiyamullail 2024 Part 1

SRII-IIT Annual Iftar Jama'ie & Qiyamullail 2024
Alhamdulillah this year IIT held our annual Iftar Jama'ie & Qiyamullail program at Masjid Bukit Indah for the second year in a row. The turnout was incredible, with many of our current students and parents attending as well as alumni. Our Iftar Jama'ie & Qiamullail program is a yearly event meant to bring together all of the IIT community to celebrate Ramadan together in breaking fast, praying taraweeh and tahajjud together. This year, we had also included our closing ceremony for our internal Quran Competition, where many of our newer students still exponentially well. InshaAllah we always look to lead children by the Quran and Sunnah, to love reciting the Quran and teaching them to embed it in every part of their lives. Alhamdulillah every year we meet new children who have such spirit and enthusiasm to memorize the Quran and we hope to continue to provide an environment that nurtures, fosters, and encourages this love for the Quran insha Allah.

Making the Best of the Last 10 Days of Ramadan: Recite This Special Dua Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: I asked the Messenger of Allah: 'O Messenger of Allah, if I know what night is the night of Qadr, what should I say during it?' He said: ‎الْلَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibb al-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni “O Allah, You are the Most forgiving, and You love to forgive, so forgive me." (Ahmad, Ibn Majah, and Tirmidhi). This dua should be recited on Laylatul Qadr, so it is the best dua for the last 10 days of Ramadan. Recite this dua every night, as much as you can, over these last 10 days of Ramadan to receive Allah’s (SWT) mercy. Tag your friends and family so they can follow along with our series and encourage them to make these tips part of their last 10 days. May Allah bring us closer to Him and grant us with experiencing Laylatul Qadr. #iit #ramadan #last10days In the video: Qalil (10 and Fatih (11)

Making the Best of the Last 10 Days of Ramadan: Do I'tikaf It was a practice of the Prophet to spend the last ten days and nights of Ramadan in the masjid for I'tikaf. Those in I'tikaf stay in the masjid all this time, performing various forms of zikr (the remembrance of Allah), like doing extra Salat, recitation and study of the Quran. They do not go outside the masjid except in case of emergencies, therefore, they sleep in the masjid. Their families or the masjid administration takes care of their food needs. I'tikaf of a shorter period of time, like one night, a day or a couple of days is encouraged as well. Tag your friends and family so they can follow along with our series and encourage them to make these tips part of their last 10 days. May Allah bring us closer to Him and grant us with experiencing Laylatul Qadr. #iit #ramadan #last10days In the video: Siblings Jamal (11) and Afsheen (15)

Making the Best of the Last 10 Days of Ramadan As the holy month of Ramadan approaches its close, we are reminded how important the last 10 days of Ramadan really are. It is during this time that the Qur’an was revealed to the Prophet (ﷺ) on Laylatul Qadr, and though we don’t know exactly which day in these last 10 days of Ramadan our Holy Quran was revealed, we do know that each of these nights brings immense rewards. We can make the most of the last 10 days of Ramadan and show our devotion by exerting ourselves to perform as many good deeds as possible; reciting the Qur’an, praying during the night, giving charity and making dua.
