But because ANBO uses beeswax + bespoke design vessels and wicks, we don’t have a shortcut but to test & trial right from scratch.

And hey, if sharing these messy, embarrassing failed ‘behind the scenes’ moments does one thing, I hope it shows you how passionate we are about getting it right. So thank you for being a part of this wild ride! 🫶🏼

Jesmonite gave us everything we wanted: faster curing, smoother finishes, and molds that pop out like a dream. 🌟

So like any small business there’s sure to be problem arise 🤣 After pouring 125 vessels, we realized that with only 85 usable ones, the cost per piece was around MYR12. 🫣 Our hearts sank a little, but we’re all about finding the best for our . TLDR: Back in 2020, Anne and I were on this mission to figure out what ANBO should look like. 🎨

Most brands go for that sleek black and white, which is cool and all, but we wanted ANBO to feel like us – a bit off the beaten path and full of heart. We’re all about crafting and fragrances, and we wanted our vibe to scream that from the rooftops. We wanted to stand out, to be the pineapple in a sea of apples – unique, slightly quirky, but undeniably refreshing. 🍍✨

Enter the eco-luxe conundrum: to brown cardboard or not? That was the question. Sure, it screams ‘I hug trees in my spare time,’ but who said eco-friendly had to be dressed in fifty shades of beige? That’s when neon green waltzed into our lives – unapologetically vibrant and a tad audacious, kind of like that one aunt at family gatherings who always has the juiciest stories. Why neon green? It’s the color of ‘heck yes, let’s do this’ – a beacon of joy in a world that sometimes feels a little too grayscale.
