Jun 2023 - the most terrible weather and red windy warning week, the warning testing sms being send for the week weather changed and it is life and death treatening situation. We can't even stand still in a place, will be blown and move around even with heavy loads.
The Waterfall was flying high and away, we walk like a drunken man to check the wind speed everytime after tunnel, else we can flew off together with our bicycle if straight cycle out as the wind gusp through.
Caravans, heavy motorbike etc all flipped and capsized by the wind, many motorbikers slipped and fell on the ground or near to edges of the valley and all had forbia to move on to their booked hotel's room even though Honningsvåg is just another 17km away, no way they can cross the bridge in order to move to Horningsvarvd to sleep. About 12 to 15 motorbikers, a few cyclists all hide in the disabled toilet, we have to eat dry foods and drink inside toilet, with some people sit and some stand as not enough space for all the ten over peoples to squeeze in that small space. We can't pitch out tent as the condition was worse than typhoon. Even when we stand outside toilet but still. under shelter or under a sheltered hut, will also get fully soaked and shivering.
Jeff tried to walk to check any possibility to cross the bridge in order to get a higher mountain to shelter us a little in order to pitch our tent, but there was not possible to cross at all at that moment, including cars, caravans and heavy motorbike. The only solution is to wait for the wind to subside a little during early morning (the next day) then we can quickly cross over and stayed together.
We managed through the next early morning with 4 cyclists move together (1 German guy, 1 Poland guy and 2 of us)

Jun 2023 - After parted with Jeff in that morning, it is still rideable for a short while. Then after, my bicycle started to swerve and always being blown to bang the low railing again and again, I can be anytime tumble and vanished into the Artic sea, and the top surface of the sea began to fly and moving faster and faster. I have no choice but to get down and push, but the number of time to banged onto the railing getting frequent. I saw an open fencing in a "dead hamlet" (just a few houses but no one at sight, just like a dead town)
I squat and try to hide from the rain and wind behind the open fencing but to no avail, the few houses with no one at sight with locked fence gate, so no way to get in. I am jumping and running around to keep myself warm while waiting for Jeff arrival as I know it is too dangerous for me and for him to move alone now, anytime disappear into the big ocean without anyone noticed.
When Jeff arrived, we can't even see each other and didn't know it was one another as the wind and rain are too strong and we were fighting with the wind. Luckily we have been spotted by a retired policeman - brother Oystein Mathiesen up on the hillside in his small hut. He came down to rescue both of us as he told us if we proceed further, there will be an open valley not too far ahead for the wind passage between mountains, it is very dangerous. We followed him by pushing up to the hill under the rain and wind and hide in his fire place.
He made us hot coffee and light up the fire wood to keep us warm. We stayed many hours till 9pm+, we assumed that the wind has subsided, so we decided to continue our journey and need to find a shield camping spot if possible under such a strong wind, because he has guests coming and cannot keep us there.
Once we pushed down from the hill and started to pedal, the strong wind has kept pushing us to the sea, so without choice both of us have to dismount and push inch by inch to cross through especially the wind valley till the new tunnel with bicycle lane.

Jun 2023 - before Olderfjord, I stopped over at a T junction petrol station cm store to look for washroom. Jeff (the French one arm tourer) and 2 more cyclists were there resting and hunting for some foods. Chat with them for a while and wanted to proceed with my journey for another 22 to 25km although during then already past 8pm because I knew that the next few days to a week were not be rideable or only can inching due to extreme weather *red turbulent wind* warning but I need to get to Nordkapp and ride back to the South (till Bergen or Stavanger) on time (within my 90days Schengen countries permitted stay) and then sail to Hirtshals, Denmark (in the west and cycle to the east all the way, the longest distance within Denmark); further cycle through Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France and cross by ship over to UK for Schengen permit run.
Jeff who actually wanted to stay beside the petrol station (paid room - 'hotel' available) or paid campsite nearby; but when I wanted to move on, he immediately check on my speed of cycling and how fast I am concurring hills. I told him that I am slow moving due to heavy loaded, so he decided to follow me.
We cycle together and after past Olderfjord and left turn to an open Artic sea, we started to hunt for camping spot. He suggested a paid campsite again, but I told him I rather find a wild free campspot than pay so much just to camp with toilet (maybe with a warm hiding space) and I have never done so, again he decided to go with me to wild camp. .
At last, we settled down beside the big artic ocean, the wind during then although with loud flipping sound and rain whole night (but that was still the mildest during those week if to compare). We only managed to tent past ten to eleven that night.
I can't sleep for the whole night as howling wind, rain and bright whole night, I got up very early and unpack and stay around to wait for Jeff to get up. Once he got up, we took photo and I proceed 1st and told him I will slowly ride and wait for him instead along the way because it is too cold to stay on without warming our body moreover he has not ate his breakfast and I have already unpack without tent to shelter.

Routes from Olderdalen to Alta, I have to find campspot along the way and with a few tunnels needed to detour using old ways and do lots of climbing (because normally old ways will up and down to pass through a few mountains), but the views are quite perfect for the sights actually (the only worried was always need to do hide and seek with the dark clouds which coming with heavy rain without shelter. Sometimes I am lucky to get permission from the local (when passing those few houses - also many attempts being turned down) to camp away from their house because normally they will treat the field in front of their house as theirs with fencing and worse with electric wires on it or planting some plants to block up the spaces fields as theirs, hard to find those without fences but still allowed us to wild camp (those freely camp spot normally only can find in the wild forest). Also, quite hard to spot local because most of them will hide in the house without staying out to chill. I am puzzle for such a beautiful landscapes especially near to the big sea, why they have normally decorated the exterior of the house until so beautiful but always hidden inside their house with door shut!
That day arrived at Alta got wet and still rain, so hide in a 24hrs operation petrol kiosk to charge my phone and hanged around hopefully can just sit till dawn as outside are wet, so lazy to move and get myself wet again. During then, I met another young bicycle tourer from Belgium ~ Thierry. We chat and sharing of our journeys till midnight and with a local young guy info, we cycle together after midnight to find two Gapahuk near to a beach which is about 8km away and we have to desend all the way down to the beach and to climb back up the next day.

Today, Bicycle journeys continue from Bjerkvik, Narvik, Norway to the Artic Circle (heading North) to ~ Nordkapp before I would like to cycle backwards to the South till Bergen or Stavanger to catch a ferry to Denmark depending on how long I have within the 90days (once I have entered to Schengen countries).
Landscapes changes for sure from Sweden to Norway, but just nice caught up with those bad weather days, gloomy, rainny and windy! But I am still enjoy and contented as the landscapes changes from Fjord to Fjord, turns to turns, every corner have some spectacular views. (But nothing if to compare with the central Asia most naturally views still)
Due to Norway have lost count Fjords, so some parts definitely have to go through by cargo ferry and we have to stick to their schedules planned but with some changes at some point of time ( the updated online data will be more accurate), some ferry are quite frequent (shorter distances), but some only run few hrs once or even limited schedule for a bigger Fjord as the time to travel to and back already took a few hrs. But, it is a must because in Norway, not every routes allowed bicycle, also, not every tunnels allowed bicycle to cycle pass. Especially for those few hours once ferry, we have to rush in order to catch it before it sail, else, to sit there and wait for the next might be very late in the evening or the next day, and to stay under open wind for few hrs will be not an easy task moreover mostly jetty areas has nothing.

I made a crazy wish daily to cut through the high mountain (which split Sweden and Norway) go into Norway as soon as possible after long riding with the daily rain and strong wind moreover same plain landscape in Sweden, forest after forest along the mountains ranges.
My wish came true and so glad to meet brother Tor Edvard who driving pass alone (when I hide in a small open busstop for the rain), he headed to Kiruna and then to Narvik in order to meet up with his girlfriend then after.
He brought me along with him and we detour to Ice hotel to take a look on how it look like. Can't really tell from the exterior because it is just like a normal stone dome.
When on the caravan, then I realised how lucky I am because the altitude of that mountain to cross through was full with snow, wet and still fozen in the sea and river plus the thunderstorm rain never end; so gloomy and moody atmosphere, but with his companion, listening & singing to Withney Houston's songs, telling jokes, we truly enjoy the journey together, warmth, peace and happy .
The day before we going to part, he is so caring to drove me up a mountain (although mountains will never end, but at least one less mountain to concur and let me glide down for my morning /afternoon warmup, and get me an orange reflector vest as a gift, worrying on my continuing journey's alone and safety. No words can describe for this kind of brotherhood ~ that's the part to make the world more beautiful along our journeys!

May 2023 - detour about 120km to Kalerne to visit a bicycle tourer who I have met twice during Pakistan and India ride (with 1st met link by SK), he is currently on seasonal work in Sweden during, Summer to fall trees planting.
Detour in order to give him my moral support because trees planting is not an easy jobs and most of them will have knees seriously injured after long term working on this job. And I have 6 to 8 months didn't see him after we apart from India (I met him twice, 1st time in Pakistan during 2022 Sep, 2nd bump into each other when we were in India Risikesh Oct/Nov 2022).
I went supermarket when he went out to work, I try to get all necessary ingredients in order to cook him best possible dinners for 2 days during my stay at Kalerne (additional with my own carry chopsticks noodles, rice and Tom Yam paste). He really love and enjoy the Asian foods and Thai style (with pure Thai Tom Yam paste - which is super expensive to get it from Sweden's Thai grocery store) foods which I have cooked. I try to eat as little as possible and kept the whole big pot for him (after his whole day of tired work) and he really empty the pot and finished everything I have cooked daily, glad to see him enjoy the foods. Then after, he requested me to stay back and cook without continuing my journeys 🤣.
I stay 2 days because the 2nd days with continue strong headwind, rain and extremely cold, although the wind and rain didn't subside and worsen with snow on that day I am moving out, but I still carry on, on the 3rd day because I have to reach Nordkapp on time and cycle back to the South till around Bergen, Norway, next through Denmark, then to Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France then to UK for the exit of 90days Schengen rules run for another 90days out of Schengen.

May, 2023 - have the most cozy and comfortable stay with brother Lars and family after such a long time without private room and good foods, Lars prepared such a delicious vegetarian foods for us and really in such a big portion, because he knew exactly a bike tourers big appetite as he himself is a super bicycle tourer who travel around many places by himself. Really thankful to him, I am always said to others, Sweden has only less than a handful helpful and fantastic people, he is definitely the one and only one, great person who he really helps every single bicycle tourers who cycle pass Sundsvall and need a warm home.
Another touching encounter is, Lars wife Lucie has help me sign up a postpaid data line under her name (I have promised to text her as reminder in order for her to cancel the line after a month because it's needed 1 month notice in advance. And I did texted her exactly on the day of 1 month notice~ because promise is confirm must be a promise, I can't break the trust as I really appreciate her trust to me; that why I set up reminder in my 2 phones in order for me to remember myself because daily I am on the roads, so, I always totally forgotten what are the dates and times and sometimes not even remember where am I too); because no foreigners can purchase a sim line in most European countries now due to many scammed phone issues.

May, 2023 ~ The day arriving at Sundsvall.
Took breakfast and then coffee together with Bert, I bid farewell to him and continuing my journey to Sundsvall. Bert has already told me not possible to go through the jungle (short cut way) to Sundsvall, but I didn't expect the terrains to be really, extremely bad. I try my luck to go in sneakily and push for many hours, but I have concurred many many obstacles (narrow plank, woodlog, stream, mud, falling trees etc) till more than ten over falling trees at one go appear in front of me. I am shocked to see that, but still, I tried to lean my bicycle and walk for quite a while to find alternates ways if possible, but those truly wild land totally not possible at all.
My breakfast by then already all gone, but still no choice but to push another few hrs back (return) to the big detour routes (suggested by Bert) with rock, stones and sandy surfaces because they are trying to build up (some distance) of the roads then.
My super nice 2nd Warmshower host ~ Larskalin (2nd and final Warmshower host in Sweden) ~ When I arrived at Lars place, my full body, panniers, baggages all covered with sand and mud, just like went through real wars. He is so nice to quickly send me to the only room for hosting the bicycle tourer, and I got my warm and nice shower.

May 2023 - Kallskar, Masbo, Stromsbruk, Lonnangersfjarden (no through routes), Sandarne to Vallen (very bad jungle trails) , Harte, Norrfjardsvagen, Oxsand (Summer house - Bert England house), Oxsand to before Galtstrom ( jungle trails ~ no through routes due to many fallen trees)
It was a bad bad journeys for these few days due to roads closure with locked gates and accidentally going into many jungles (wild forest) .
So after cycle back for a distance, noticed an open space to climb up to the highway, No choice but to take the risk with this only shortcut but I have to sneak through the torny steep lose sand slope up and climb through railing and get on to the highway. I still do it because in order to cycle back for about 30km with jungle trails and rocky bad roads will not be easy.
I have to dismantle everything on my bicycle, because to carry my bicycle alone to go up that slope already a big challenge for me who is alone, wasted "nine cows plus 2 tiger energy) (费九牛二虎之力) then I managed to climb through and slowly load back all my stuffs.
But, but, after a while on highway, I get caught by a police car from opposite side, they horn to alert me, but I just nod my head but continue because I got no other choice. They have to find a long enroutes to turn back and get me (3 of us carry my bicycle over the centre railing, the cars on highway were super fast, but with police car, they will slow down, that why we managed to move to the centre) to cycle backwards and into a small turn at the side of the road opposite in order to do a long reroute back to my side of the road, moreover it is not a straight forward routes, many lost routes again and again because their road signs are not clear and roads joining here and there.
At the end, after many pushing in the wild jungle with big rocks and bushes, I ended in a hidden summer houses with no one around as during then, still too cold to enjoy the nature there.
I have run out of water if needed to cook (because the wild bushes ripped off one of my water bottle without my notice as I am too tired and real harsh to push through all those trails). I walk to every houses to check if anyone, knocked on their doors, but sad to say, no human being on sight. I never gave up, at the end, caught a guy - Bert England (the one and only one) who came earlier to the summer house to prepare for his summer holiday in advance.
Due to too cold outside, almost can't sit down at all to enjoy the nature as the temperature is very low moreover with wind (just beside the wide wild sea), so he only surface outside for a quick few minutes puff of 1 cigarette in every 1 hour. That how lucky I am to be able to catch him just on time.
I told him I need his help to give me some water to cook my food and to camp around because I am too tired and also too late to move on. So nice of him to invite me inside to his little summer cottage (with only 1 room, 1 small hall w small dining area and a small kitchen & small toilet). Not even having hot water to shower, but I am already too glad and satisfied with shelter on my head at that cold cold night.
He further heat up some food (that he has cook with bal) for me and we sat down a few hrs to discuss on my routes then after, he prepared both of us sandwiches before we went to bed, the little hall with sofa is my nice cozy bed for that nigh.

Backed journeys photos sharing, Sweden
After many days camp out in the wild without sleep, I managed to get my 1st Warmshower host in Gavle ~ Carlos, a Spanish bike traveller who work in Sweden and his girlfriend, Cami from Brazil. Feel so happy as at last I can have a comfy quiet night sleep and with warm shower after no end jungle and forest camp with loudest ever birds 24hrs chirpping due to almost no night in coming Summer.

May 2023 - Stockholm, Uppsala, Gavle ~ Sweden
*Gamla Gefle is an area in Central Gavle that was supposed to be torn down in 1950's along with the rest of the south part of the inner city. Instead of being replaced with modern buildings the areas was preserved for cultural reasons. The buildings and the narrow and windling streets date back to the 17th century.
Backtrack my cycling journeys around the world.
Arrived at Gdansk, Poland around 18th May and arrived in Sweden after nearly 24hrs sailing, arrived on 19th May 2023 to Sweden.
I am in total lost as it is again another new country to adapt to and worse, forestry country. Day 1 has already up to the scary speedy highway, and only being caught after many hours of exhausted riding and the van (send by road traffic control) chases me for a long way, send me down just in front (side road) while I am being caught 🤣 and get me to cycle all those foresty small roads and I am fully lost again and again.
Along the way saw a Thai minimart, the prices I saw in day 1 only already almost made my jaw dropped, but what can I do, I still have to stock up groceries and get a bottle of tomyam paste for exp$$$😅.
Although merry go round, round and round, tired, exhausted..... but I still insist to pass the big city Stockholm in order to find my campground; but the welcoming birds singing for the whole night, and sunset only at around 10.30pm (but no dark) and again sunrise at around 2am, my goodness.
For that 1st night in Sweden and subsequent all those nights, will be the same, almost 24 hrs awake everyday plus daily cycling, such a torturing journeys!
Backtrack my continuing cycling journeys around the world from May 2023.
The days into Eastern Europe - Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary (with my lovely Brother Cengiz) and later my journeys from Hungary to Gdansk, Poland before entering to Sweden.
Thank you for all your PM; concerning on my safety and whereabouts ☺️🙏
Yeah, I have not been updating so frequently recently, mainly due to a few reasons:
1. Mindset changed - just feel that I would like to stay away from all kinds of social media as much as possible or as short as possible especially when I am on the road. Also, the update will take a long time and need extremely focus eyesight and caused my vision blur then after.
2. Conserve the power of my phone for emergency or necessary updates as throughout the whole journeys, I have to do wildcamp, so not easy to get the power restored.
3. Daily have to solve the problem of campsite, cooking, moreover with the extreme weather challenges to face.
Morover, my gears are all given up in such wild & tough terrains ~ air mat leaking but can't find the hole (critical problem as I need it to cushion from the cold night daily), new tent sealed stickers on outer shield almost all dropped, new panniers & clothes torn and getting bigger and bigger, etc...
4. Aches everywhere on arms, legs, body especially in such cold and wet weather due to my old injuries and fractures.
Although I have went through many places around the world, but through recent Europes' journeys, I have realised and new enlightenment in life; during the journeys from Singapore till Turkey, although I did missed home so much, missed family members and friends, missed all the delicious foods in hometown; but with lots of loves from peoples all over the world, it is just like I am home ~ my 2nd home, so no matter how tough the journeys were, I will refreshed and energised quickly with mindset changes again and again in order to move on.
But, with the total difference mindset of peoples in (especially) Northern Europe who I have met along the way {other than those few rare Angel who I have met}, I am extremely missed and appreciate the simplest comfort zones when I am at home (daily with hot shower, dry & clean clothes and a cup of hot coffee).
Secondly, I missed so much on foods (when we can find all kinds everywhere in Europe, but extremely expensive for us to have it especially after covid- it is also very expensive to get raw ingredients to cook; I am rather in the situation of can't find the luxury foods but only have the basic foods or ingredients ~ just like during Central Asia journeys)
Thirdly, the extreme weather that caused the many encounters to be in the life and death threatening (which we can't control) made me feel that why I am continuing in those places which I am no longer enjoy but only suffering instead and wondered what is the initial purpose of my journeys? Although I am fully understand as a nature enthusias to catch my dream, I will be very soon to miss those cycling journeys and wanted very much to continue again.
Last but not least, importantly ~I have to get all my ensential gears fixed and change...
That why I have decided to temporary end my Europe journeys after much consideration and to do another new journeys at the right timing / seasons after I have had enough rest and gathering with my family and friends, that should be the wise decision.
So, to all my friends, brother and sister all around the world, I am back safely. Currently I am still catching up my rest due to jetlag and weather changes, hope to see and meet up again 🤗💕🙏
**Norway ~ The gas canister was given by a kind young man {I have forgotten to write down their name and has forgotten, getting old that why short memory especially on names, my apologies ☺️} who help me to boil hot water (he is from Philippine & his friend is from Utopia, but both of them are local born in Norway). These 2 kind young men who are going for hiking and fishing so exited when saw me with my heavy loaded bicycle, talk & photo with me before we went to the gas station, they witness that I have been cruelly turned down for just some hot water and power bank charge at a gas station at Grodas in bad rainny day. He offered to boil me hot water and when he knew that I am running out of the gas, without hesitation he gave me the gas canister. Thank you guys, nice to catch up 🙏🙏🙏
Denmark:
After 2 days hiding in a little hut near to a forest due to non stop heavy downpour; the 1st kind person who I have met is Jerzy from Poland who study and work in Denmark with his brother Christopher. I am so glad to meet such a well brought up young men like them, their parents must be happy to know how good their children being brought up; Polite, kind hearted and caring personality.
Jerzy appears behind my bicycle in front of a red traffic juction. I am crossing a small town so have to check on phone of every zigzag turns on the map as the routes are not too straight forward and same time have to look out for a campsite as already tired of cycling on that day. We talk for a few seconds and I wave goodbye to him to proceed when traffic light turned green.
He approached me again to ask: Do you need anything for now? I just replied with I am looking for a place to stay/camp for the night and he immediately told me to wait for a few minutes and started to make a phone call because he is renting a room and need permission from his landlord. At last, his brother has a vacant room for me as his roommate was away. Jerzy brought me to supermarket to get foods for dinner and told me to pick anything freely and he will pay for it. I only pick a bottle of fruit juice as too thirsty then and a pack of ready to heat rice as I didn't want to let him spend too much. But instead, he told me to pick up more items and get me more things. Even he & his brother prepared chocolate crackers and food bars & yourgurt to let me bring along my way the next day morning. Really warm to meet such helpful and kind hearted young men. The world will be blessed and beautiful to have such a wonderful young men, they are the new generation to keep the world with more loves and peace. I believe there are still hopes with such a good young man around. We sat down for dinner, chat & sharing at night and even promised to meet again the next day 7am morning before Jerzy goes to work. He has prepared pancakes by himself and get buns for our breakfast and coffee prepared by Christopher, lovely and nice memories together, my energy and hope being light up again! 🩷💕❤️🙏🙏🙏.
The night after, I hide & camp outside an industrial estate building as tired of proceeding and raining, the next early morning, I have been given a cup of hot coffee by a lady from ECM(their company compound) who spotted me, maybe through cctv I think; I feel that the world is started to be more beautiful as to meet more great peoples (after cold Sweden & Norway).
With positive energy, again, I am so blessed to meet sister Gabi (from Germany) when I am all wet and wanted to hide and camp in a shelter near scout's activity compound because everywhere is wet and the rain on and off non stop, she was walking her dogs to the field and heading home then. We have say hello to each other and I have double confirm on the shelter location and then we parted; I have met her again when I am pushing forward to the hidden picnic areas at tge back with benches and tables & covered with wooden roof, wanted to have a sit and eat some foods.
She is so nice and caring to tell me that if I need a bath can go to her home, I am real happy to hear that as I am all soaked, I immediately push my bicycle and follow her back home.
While I am bathing, she quickly prepare me lots of hot foods, coffee, drinks and fruits. Few hours later, her husband and son are home, again we have dinner together. Then, she said to me that if I am alright, I can sleep in her caravan cart which is just park outside her home, I am more than happy to say yes as at least I have a great shelter on me in the rainny and cold night inside of comfy and warm bed
She prepared lots of foods again in the morning before I left and prepare me a big pack of eggs, biscuits, chocolates bars, can of coke, etc.... to take away, deep from my heart really grateful and happy to meet you sister Gabi, you are really a kind and wonderful woman👍👍👍💕💕💕
