If you’re new to inclusive dance, it’s a practice that invites people of all abilities, including those with visible and invisible disabilities, to experience the joy of movement and artistic expression.

At Virtual View, Inclusive Dance XR Workshop, we’re dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where participants, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities, can come together- connect, learn, and celebrate their love for movement and technology.

We’re seeking artists/performers with disabilities who are enthusiastic about performing arts and digital technology to join us for our upcoming 5-day creative workshop in Penang.

Virtual View, organized by Cahaya XR in collaboration with Australian inclusive dance company , offers a paid opportunity featuring inclusive dance workshops and hands-on learning experiences with extended reality (XR) technology. Virtual View is an inclusive dance XR workshop organized by Cahaya XR and , aimed at exploring inclusive practices in technology, community, and movement arts. Join us from June 15th to 19th for a 5-day creative dance workshop in George Town, Penang.

In collaboration with Liz Lea and Katie Senior from the Australian inclusive dance company Chamaeleon Collective, the workshop offers an inclusive dance space, exploration of movement and XR technology, and a chance to discover Penang’s attractions.

Participants will be compensated for their participation, and accompanying caretakers will also be compensated for their time.

As part of the Symbiosis Virtual Reality exhibition at Jetty 35, we’re introducing “Zoomorphism”, an award-winning artistic work by Kai Ting and Boon Xin recently recognized by the BMS, a prestigious national contemporary art award for artists under 35.

There are a total of nine digital creature Instagram filters to explore that intricately blend animals with traditional folklore and mythologies and emphasize ecological and posthuman themes.

Nature's resilience and adaptability show that sometimes the most surprising discoveries are right in front of us, hidden in plain sight.

Discovered in 2016, the Highland Vampire Crab finds sanctuary nestled amongst bromeliad plants, exclusively at Penang Hill, 700 meters above sea level.

As rising temperatures pose a threat to their habitat, we hope the Symbiosis exhibition will help us keep in mind the urgent need to address climate change and support conservation efforts.

Congratulations to our mentees for their recent win last weekend at the Anugerah Bakat Muda Sezaman 2023 with their Augmented Reality activation "Zoomorphism" at Batu Pahat, Johor.
