🌍 Gurfateh Greetings, art lovers! 🎨✨
It feels so good to be back and reconnecting with all of you after an incredible three-month adventure in the USA and the U.K.! 🗺️✈️ Life is full of surprises, and this trip was definitely a whirlwind of inspiration and new experiences that have given my art a fresh perspective.
I know it's been a while since my last story, and I'm sure you've been eagerly waiting to see what I've been up to! But fear not, my creativity has flourished during this extended holiday, and I'm beyond excited to finally share with you the fruits of my artistic endeavors.
Get ready for a flood of captivating paintings heading your way! 🌟
Here is a new painting that I’ve just started. Each canvas holds a piece of my heart and soul, in an attempt to portray beauty of our Guru and Shabad. And yet I am always and forever mindful of Guru’s words ‘even if I were to know know, I can verbalise or paint you’. No matter what we can never fully know Him cos be beyond comprehension. We are a drop of water and He is the ocean and the only thing that can happen is for us to merge into Him.
So, stay tuned, my dear friends! 📣✨Let's embark on this artistic journey together, as we explore the world through colors, strokes, and emotions, and Gurbani Kirtan, all uniquely expressed in my upcoming creations. Your unwavering support means the world to me, and I cannot wait to see your reactions to what I've poured my heart into.
Thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and your constant love. It feels exhilarating to be back, and I promise you won't be disappointed! 🎉💫 Stay tuned for a visual feast that will ignite your imagination and be a testament to the power of art to transcend borders and touch souls.
Much love,
Manjit Singh Hunjin❤️✨

This original oil painting was done in 2018. I was pleased with the overall look of the painting but felt that the face and turban jewellery could be improved. Few months ago I was inspired to change this painting when I heard a katha by Sant Singh Maskeen in which he mentions a painting of Guru Gobind Singh ji in Hazur Sahib that was painted by a Muslim artist During the lifetime of Guru ji himself. So one can assume this is what Guru must have looked like. So With this thought I proceeded to repaint parts of the original painting. You can see the before and after results. It has taken over one week to make the changes. Had this been a digital painting the whole change could’ve been done in a matter of 1 to 2 hours. This highlights the fundamental difference between oil paintings and digital paintings. To alter any part of a digital painting it is just a matter of few clicks on the computer or IPad. With traditional oil paintings it is a long and laborious process. With digital artwork there is no ‘original’ one-of piece of digital that is owned by one person except for the rights to the soft copy. An traditional artwork such as an oil painting is a TRUE ONE-OF piece that only one person in the world can own. Sure people can own prints (copies) of the same artwork but ONLY ONE PERSON will ever have THE original that will last for hundreds of years. If an artist does further original copies, no 2 artworks can ever be the same as the whole process is done by hand, each brushmark is permanently marked on the canvas, with all the history and process that went into the final finished piece.
This oil painting is on canvas board size 39 x 28 inches. The frame is 47 x 36 inches.

I’ve had this framed laminated print of a painting I did in 2016. The the print had come out substandard being darker than the original painting. Rather than throwing away the print I decided to hand touch it i.e. paint over it with all oil paints, essentially producing a new version that is almost as good as an original painting. So you can see the before and after results. What are your thoughts ?
This painting is now available with the frame shown. The painting is sized 22 x15 inches, frame size 28 x 21
