A true sonic artisan, Alex Nantaya channels her boundless passion into mesmerising musical landscapes. After years of education at the conservatory, she gracefully
transitions from the pop scene to electronic music. Her DJ sets, characterised by hypnotic and groovy techno, flirts with experimental nuances and also some old-school touch.

We hosted the mighty Lag down for a good time at Sessions last weekend. A night filled with genre-bending soundscapes from the start to the end. Our first Modus Operandi night which we collaborated with Intermission back in June, was the start of something that one of our guys, Amjad aka Notion A been wanting to explore and push. Bridging collectives and DJs within the sound of the energetic electro, breaks, to the synchronicity of techno, exploring the frontiers of the future sound. Big love to BB.Bulan, 535eye and Pang for the memorable night.

We collaborated with fono for our second Modus Operandi, which went down last weekend. We felt like it was too short. Each DJs brought their A-game with their sets. So we would like to thank the DJs Nazreth, Notion A and Mia, uzrswl reppin the fono camp.

SUBSTANCE and MODULUS presents Lag (Rekids/Mord) with BB.Bulan, Notion A and Nazreth at Sessions this 5th August.

Growing up in the turbulent Balkans, Lag developed a unique outlook on expression, choosing electronic music to be the channel for his creative discharge. While the acquired punk influences and classical music education shines through his steady output, he doesn't shy away from exploring beyond what he is most known for - gritty, rhythmical techno with an attention-grabbing attitude. While Lag's releases have put him on the map, his remix work and odd tracks released on various labels show diversity in what he is capable of.

Lag’s many DJ performances speak volumes of his ability to sonically engage his crowd, taking them on an intense journey: expertly curated and skillfully carried out. Through his DJ sets, as well as his other work promoting the underground culture Lag puts efforts into closing the gap between the “good” and the “known”. His undeniable quality and hard work quickly took him from playing local clubs to touring the world, making him Serbia's techno ambassador and allowing him to spread the message which someone who lived through war and discord can best understand - a message of inclusiveness and unity.
