We often overlook that health starts from home. Basically everything starts from home! If you're provided a safe and healthy home, naturally you are conditioned to live in a safe and healthy environment.

So what causes this?? Basically moisture. Tropical countries especially Malaysia always have this issue with moisture degradation on building structure. You would see that in your home too.

Why H**p was made ILLEGAL?

H**p was criminalized when Ma*****na Tax Act of 1937 was enforced in United State. Most developing countries follows after that.

So why H**p got dragged along with Ma*****na? Simply, it looks the same!

On a controversial story, cotton was invented and proves to be cheaper back in the 1900s and therefore the heavily invested businessmen in the cotton industry took the opportunity to group H**p with Ma*****na as illegal seeing that H**p pose a harsh competition in the market.

In recent years, more developed countries with high income status are looking at H**p as a sustainable resource to help fuel for their future generations. People are more receptive to H**p for their daily consumption in the present time as compared in the last 10 years. That means people are acknowledging H**p's true potential as a sustainable resource for many products.

So why not legalize that for Malaysian's benefit?

This resonate a lot in how we should lead our everyday life without much pain & suffering. Yet we are bound to have some during different stage of our life.

CURRENT ISSUES in MALAYSIA

The Malaysian Health Ministry have recently warned the public about the danger of asbestos found in homes that could eventually lead to lung cancer after inhaling asbestos for a long period of time. At present. it can still be found in most Kampung areas, the regional parts of Malaysia.

In the urban housing area, house waterproofing are constantly an issue to fix. Often it is heard that the ceiling will have water leakage & if it is not done right, interior of the ceiling & roof will start to rot & molding will start and it will slowly deteriorate the occupant's health. There is no quick fix to water leakage issue, it is always the expensive way which proves to be a burden to the household.

Another angle of view, concrete built homes do required high volume of manufactured cement, sand & stone to accommodate the demand of new built homes. Thus this directly affect the landscape of the environment and also emits high pollution levels of mixed chemicals & carbons released back into the atmosphere.

Once it rains, toxic water is then release back into the ground and its water is ready to be consumed by the public. This cycle is inevitable unless we change our ways we live now and fight for the next generation!

Exciting News!!

Hi, I am Michael Hor representing Malaysian Industrial H**p (MIH) as a member of a h**p NGO in Malaysia. We are currently working closely with this NGO, government and some key person towards legalization of Industrial H**p for Malaysia.

I do have people asking me questions like...why am I doing this? Where's the inspiration/drive? ---> Usually, I return with another question, in this present moment, do we have a strong, renewable & sustainable resource for our country's growth that benefits both the environment & economy? And why am I not doing it when all the pioneers from different countries are growing & expanding now? Simply put, look at US & Europe.

My inspiration stems strongly from me being Anak Malaysia, born & raised locally. I understand the needs for Malaysian especially growth in general. We can't afford to go anymore backwards. It is only forward that we need to focus right now.

In short, Industrial H**p is an important resource that acts as a catalyst for the country to progress forward quickly without compromising the agriculture sector, the environment & its people living in.

Buckminster Fuller, an important innovator who invented Dymaxion Car & Geodesic Dome in the 20th century, man of many talents, and my hero for a sustainable world. He is one of my sole inspiration who always reminded me not to take things for granted. He taught us efficiency that gave birth to a new inventive car and homes for shelters.

But why it didn't reach out to the mass market? Because when he was thinking for the benefit of the world, big corporation and governments are thinking for themselves. Now that is given a chance, let's us be more educated and dream for a better future. Making things happens. This same goes to Industrial H**p where it was intentionally suppressed in the past.
