RED Winches has taken this crazy idea from CAD to reality.
This is the NEW and developed class leading OEM QUAD Motor Hornet 2 winch.

It’s a monster, its crazy, it’s a mad idea to design and fit as an OEM 4 motors to a winch, but it has been done due to demand…. and a little bit of ‘just because’ we wanted to see how it would work out.

This creates a 28Hp winch… available in Standard Gear ratio and Overdrive.

The OX Motor 6 months ago went through a transformation and was redesigned on the back to have a HEX drive included on the end of its shaft. This was done in preparation for the connection needed for the 4 motor QUAD Hornet 2.

What this means is we have a solid, reliable hex drive connection built into the back of the OX Motor, allowing another OX Motor to be connected easily and reliable, no drilling, no pressing, no chance of users easily effecting the connection.

The Hornet 2 has also had an upgrade for this QUAD.
Larger gearbox bearings, stronger drum, stronger drive shaft…. After testing these are the areas we wanted to beef up due to huge leap in instant power this winch can deliver. Likewise ALBRIGHT have delivered us a new and upgraded DC182 solenoid specifically for this application.

While testing one vehicle was running Overdrive gears while overvolting, the results were very impressive…!!!!!
The QUAD motor upgrade kits in several options will be available for those that want to upgrade their current Hornet 2’s, and detail of these will be published shortly along with prices.
