Have you guys heard before a world record longest noodle in China?

The record for the Longest noodle has been broken after a Chinese food company successfully cooked a single strip measuring a whopping 3,084 m (10,119 ft 1.92 in). Despite being nearly two miles long, chefs from Xiangnian Food Co. Ltd followed a traditional ramen noodle recipe, just on a larger scale; the ingredients included 40 kg of bread flour, 26.8 liters of water and 0.6 kg of salt. The attempt took place in Nanyang, Henan with staff spending 17 hours rolling out the enormous noodle.

Noodles are a symbol of longevity in China so Xiangnian Food Co. invited its employees to take part in the record attempt and bring their elderly relatives and family members along to enjoy the noodle.

Noodle are "Ancient" ?!

From ancient China to the global Ramen craze, the history of noodles is a riveting tale that crosses cultures and continents. Known as Ramen, goreng, pho, and spaghetti, noodles are a global staple, especially in Southeast Asia. Made from diverse grains like wheat, rice, and sorghum, they’ve been part of Chinese cuisine for over 4,000 years, according to carbon-dated archaeological findings. Let’s explore the enduring popularity and rich history of this universally loved dish.

Archaeologists discovered this at the Lajia archaeological site. The written histories of the Han Dynasty circa 2nd century BCE contain one of the first mentions of noodles. Safe then to assume that noodles originated in China. The earliest noodles found at Laija were made from millet. It’s no surprise, as mankind first cultivated millet on a staple scale among grains. In subsequent centuries rice, buckwheat and wheat replaced millet as the grains of choice for making noodles.
