What to do in Heavy Rain, Floods and Standing Water | Isuzu D-Max Malaysia

In this raining season, it’s important to take care of your own safety. Here are some of the things you need to know when there is flooding on the way, move your car to higher ground to stop it getting damaged. Water plays havoc with electrics and can even cause airbags to go off suddenly some time later.

Heavy rain
1. Turn your headlights on.
2. Use fog lights if you like, but switch them off when visibility improves.
3. Leave twice as much space between you and the car in front.
4. If your steering feels light due to aquaplaning, ease off the accelerator and slow down gradually.

Floods and standing water

1. Try to avoid standing water if you can.
2. Do not drive into flood water that’s moving or more than 10cm (4 inches) deep. Let approaching cars pass first.
3. Drive slowly and steadily so you don’t make a bow wave.
4. Test your brakes as soon as you can afterwards.
5. Fast-moving water is very powerful – take care or your car could be swept away.

If you do get stuck in flood water, it's usually best to wait in the car and call for help rather than try to get out.

Just in case after the flood, you need to inspect your Isuzu after the flood, you can have a free inspection of your Isuzu vehicle at the nearest authorised Isuzu Service Centre to you to ensure your vehicle is in good condition.

1. Do not restart the vehicle
2. Get the brakes dried up
3. Drying up the interiors
4. Replacing all the fluids of the vehicle
5. Replacing the Air Filter
6. Get your car serviced at Authorized Isuzu Service Centre

The Importance of Tires Rotating and Balancing | Isuzu D-Max Malaysia

The tires on your D-Max may wear out unevenly in different spots depending on the position of the engine in your pickup truck, how much weight you load and carry in your truck bed, and the road conditions you travelled on.

The wheels are removed and reinstalled from front to back, right to left, when your tires are rotated. Your tires will have balanced wear over the treads and shoulders if you rotate the individual tire. This will assist your tires in not wearing out as rapidly, which can allow them to last longer.

Your tires should be balanced every time you get a tire rotation. If your tires are not balanced while they spin, it can cause the wheels to shake, and this is not a good sign for your pickup truck!

One of the most important reasons to rotate and balance your tires is safety. Consult an authorised Isuzu service centre to learn more about tire rotation and balancing, which can also help you to maintain optimum traction and increase the life of your tires.
