Congratulations to the newly wed! ๐Ÿฅฐ The couple came with their 2 best friends for a unforgettable cooking class where they pick to stop over while on their Malaysian wedding for a short getaway before going back home to Melbourne. This is their 2nd time cooking together in a team of four.

Its been such a long hiatus to their wedding plans 2 years ago due to the pandemic. What an experience to have an enjoyable time while on a wedding. They said nothing else but good food, and relaxing at the hotel after the hustle bustle, Haha!

A very meaningful week spent! Founders of Taberna Bacusยบ restaurant in Spain came to learn a full week of masterclass on Malaysian cuisine. Very happy to be able to spent time with Chef Pablo who has worked with Michelin star restaurants, very professional yet humble & passionate about fusion of Asian cuisine, and Ernesto who is such a heartwarming yet generous partner (in crime haha).

To end the experience with a cherry top, brought them to my favorite hawkers at night and they said it is the best meal they ever tried in Penang and Malaysia!

What a hospitality treat! Nisha, Lana and Lucia was classmates back 20 years, Nisha was working remotely on her laptop and wanted her girls to have extra good time in Penang even without her.

Indeed both have an awesome time, not only learning about Nyonya cuisine, but instead of sightseeing, time is indeed well spent. Could not be happy enough they liked Inche Kabin, a Nyonya fried chicken that can be easily be a finger food on the table on any occasion!!

A great bonding session as Stephen worked in Singapore while his dad, a Canadian dermatologist in Texas. Both are away for so long, and finally a reunion but a meaningful one with cooking skills brought back. Made some beef satay & served alongside the most iconic Malaysian food - Nasi Lemak and of course (Rendang!)

Pound with love! Kerisik, which is made from toasted coconut, adds a whole new flavor profile to Rendang, however it requires a little bit (maybe more, haha) hardwork. Depends on your menu, if time allows you will pound em' by yourself, so when we mean scratch, its really from the raw ingredients! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Such a power duo who makes a lot of laughter in the kitchen, hopefully will be able to see them in UK soon.
