Pada 11 & 15 Disember 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) telah mengadakan Majlis Makan Malam Penghargaan Pekerja bertempat di The Light Hotel, Seberang Jaya. Dato' Seri Syed Mohamad bin Syed Murtaza, Pengerusi PPSB, dan Dato' Sasedharan Vasudevan, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif PPSB turut hadir dan meraikan majlis tersebut.

Acara kemuncak malam itu ialah persembahan nyanyian oleh penyanyi 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯, Jay Jay. Majlis ini dimeriahkan lagi dengan Anugerah Berpakaian Terbaik bagi mengiktiraf gaya serta keanggunan pekerja lelaki dan wanita berpakaian glamor pada majlis itu.

Tujuan majlis ini diadakan untuk merakamkan penghargaan kepada kakitangan yang menjadi tulang belakang kepada PPSB. Majlis ini juga menjadi platform untuk mengiktiraf dan meraikan komitmen yang tidak berbelah bahagi mereka kepada kejayaan PPSB.

On 18 December 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) hosted the Group Internal Audit Roundtable Meeting (“GIARM”) for Quarter 4, 2023.

This meeting was chaired by En. Muhammad Afinii Muhamad Fua'at, Head of Internal Audit PPSB and co-chaired by En. Nisham Wijee, Head Internal Audit of MMC Corporation Berhad. Representatives from Internal Audit of MMC Group i.e., North Port (Malaysia) Berhad, Malakoff, Alam Flora, Johor Port Berhad, Port Tanjung Pelepas, and Gas Malaysia Berhad also attended the meeting.

This meeting serves as a vital platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, strategic alignment, benchmarking, and continuous improvement which contribute to the effectiveness of internal audit functions within organisations and MMC Group.

Pada 18 Disember 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) telah menganjurkan Majlis Penghargaan Pekerja yang bertempat di The Light Hotel, Seberang Jaya.

Majlis telah dirasmikan oleh YBhg Dato' Seri Syed Mohamad bin Syed Murtaza, Pengerusi PPSB. Tiga (3) kategori penghargaan pekerja telah diraikan iaitu Anugerah Khidmat Lama (20 & 30 tahun), Hadiah Akademik Cemerlang dan Anugerah Penghargaan Pesara.

Majlis turut dihadiri oleh Dato' Sasedharan Vasudevan, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif PPSB, Ketua-ketua Divisyen & Jabatan, Exco Persatuan Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan PPSB dan Exco Kesatuan Pekerja PPSB.

On 12 December 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) received a maiden call from Marella Discovery 2 at Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT), George Town.

PPSB and Marella Discovery 2 exchanged commemorative plaques, sealing the beginning of a fruitful partnership, and celebrating the historic maiden call at SPCT.

The exchange symbolises the unity between our port and the esteemed cruise liner, signifying the start of a journey filled with exciting business opportunities. This maiden call is a testament to the growing significance of Penang Port as a prime destination for cruise activities.

Today marks a significant milestone for Penang's tourism industry with the eagerly awaited soft launch of the Penang Bridge Sunset Cruise. Departing from Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda (PRTU) in George Town, this exclusive cruise offers breathtaking views of the world-renowned Penang Bridge against the backdrop of a mesmerizing sunset.

Get ready for a unique journey through the scenic landscapes of Penang, as you sail on the new Penang ferry. The soft launch event introduces this enchanting experience, with regular weekend cruises scheduled from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Limited to 100 passengers per cruise, we ensure an intimate and personalized atmosphere for all on board.

Official commencement of the Penang Bridge Sunset Cruise is targeted for 16 December 2023. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience! Ticket prices are set at RM148 for adults and RM98 for children (12 years and below).

Pada 5 Disember 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) telah menganjurkan Majlis Perasmian Hari Keselamatan, Kesihatan Pekerjaan dan Alam Sekitar 2023.

Majlis ini telah dirasmikan oleh Dato' Sasedharan Vasudevan, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif PPSB dan dihadiri oleh Encik Hairozie Bin Asri, Pengarah Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan Pulau Pinang (JKKP) .

Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) was honoured to receive a courtesy visit from Bromma, a leading provider of crane spreaders.

The event was held on 4 December 2023 at North Butterworth Container Terminal (NBCT) to oversee the operation of our container terminal.

During the meeting, the delegates engaged in discussion on various key personnel, including engineering and port operations. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for both parties to share their expertise and experiences. The meeting allowed us to gain additional insights into the latest industry trends and innovations.

On the 16th of November 2023, Penang Port Sdn. Bhd. (PPSB) proudly received the MSOSH OSH Gold Class 1 Award for 2023, a distinguished recognition from the MSOSH Panel of Auditors and MSOSH Award Committee within the logistics and transportation sector, which is equivalent to a very good OSH performance.

Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) recently participated in the 124 FMFF Council Meeting, held on 25th November 2023 at the Jen Hotel in Penang. This event marked an important milestone in PPSB's commitment to stay at the forefront of the industry's development.

Leading the presentation at the Council Meeting was Mr. Mohd Syukhran bin Marzukhi, Head of Commercial at PPSB. His engaging briefing shed light on the updated and latest development projects spearheaded by PPSB.

On 23 November 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) successfully organised Blood Donation Drive 2.0 in collaboration with the Transfusion Unit of Seberang Jaya Hospital. The event garnered an overwhelming response, with a total of 89 participants; internal & port users contributing to the cause.

The event not only showcased the strong community spirit within PPSB but also highlighted the critical importance of blood donation in saving lives and fostering a healthier, more resilient society.

Pada 21 November 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd telah dianugerahkan Pensijilan Tempat Kerja Bebas Dadah (TEKAD) peringkat negeri Pulau Pinang oleh Agensi Antidadah Kebangsaan (AADK) .

Puan Elmariah Chung, Pengarah AADK Negeri Pulau Pinang, telah hadir bagi menyampaikan anugerah tersebut kepada PPSB.

Pada 2 November 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB), ahli Kumpulan MMC telah menerima lawatan kerja daripada YDH ACP Tuan Mohd Asri bin Shafie, Ketua Polis Daerah Seberang Perai Utara (SPU) & Ketua-ketua Bahagian dan Pegawai-pegawai Kanan Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM) Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Seberang Perai Utara (IPD SPU) bertempat di Pangkalan Kontena Butterworth Utara (NBCT).

Mohamed Shaffi bin Khatri Abdulla, Ketua Divisyen Perkhidmatan Korporat PPSB, mengetuai perbincangan bagi pihak PPSB, membentangkan sesi perbincangan mengenai peningkatan keselamatan di Pelabuhan Pulau Pinang dan senario penambahbaikan bagi polis bantuan.

Dalam lawatan tersebut, Tuan Mohd Asri bin Shafie telah diberi taklimat ringkas mengenai operasi pelabuhan di setiap instalasi Pelabuhan Pulau Pinang.

Pada 1 November 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) bersama dengan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah (SPRM) Pulau Pinang telah menganjurkan program Ikrar Bebas Rasuah dan juga sesi taklimat mengenai Anti Rasuah Sempena Minggu Integriti Negara yang dianjurkan pada bulan November setiap tahun.

Yang Berbahagia Timbalan Pesuruhjaya Tuan Ruslan bin Tuan Mat, Pengarah SPRM Pulau Pinang, telah hadir bagi meraikan majlis tersebut. Kehadiran beliau ke majlis ini adalah amat bermakna buat Penang Port Sdn Bhd.

Pemilihan ini dinilai melalui 4 kriteria iaitu Caruman Majikan Teratur Mulai Bulan Caruman 01/2020 Sehingga Semasa, Bersih Ketidakakuran, Tiada Kes Aduan Pekerja dan Pekerja Mendaftar serta Mencarum Voluntary Excess & Voluntary Contribution.

On 25 October 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) had the honour of hosting a special working visit from Lembaga Kemajuan Ikan Malaysia (LKIM). It was an informative and collaborative session aimed at providing insights into port operations and its vital role in our region's economy.

During the visit, PPSB showcased the remarkable efforts and efficient systems that power our port's day-to-day operations. It was a wonderful opportunity for LKIM to gain firsthand insights into the processes that keep our region connected and thriving.

Pada 21 Oktober 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) telah menganjurkan Hari Terbuka TLDM bersempena Hari Terbuka SPCT. Seramai 12,886 pengunjung telah hadir memeriahkan suasana dan menyertai pelbagai aktiviti yang menarik.

Antara aktiviti yang dianjurkan ialah Pameran Kerjaya TLDM, Pameran Penyelam TLDM, Pameran Peralatan Tempur Paskal, Pameran Peluru & Bahan Letupan TLDM serta pelbagai lagi.

Terima kasih kepada semua pengunjung yang sudi meluangkan masa menyertai Hari Terbuka TLDM ini. Kami berharap program sebegini dapat memberi manfaat dan pendedahan yang bermakna untuk masyarakat. Di samping itu, Kami juga berharap program sebegini dapat diteruskan lagi pada masa akan datang bagi membentuk perpaduan, pengetahuan dan semangat pengembaraan.

Dato' Sasedharan Vasudevan, CEO of Penang Port Sdn Bhd, had the privilege of connecting with visually impaired individuals during an unforgettable ferry ride at Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda (PRTU) & Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH).

After the heartwarming ferry ride, participants from Penang Port Sdn Bhd, Penang Sentral, and KTMB took the bold step of being blindfolded. This immersive experience gave us a glimpse into the daily lives of the visually impaired, and it was an eye-opener for everyone involved.

On 11 October 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) provided an unforgettable ferry ride from Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (PSAH), Butterworth to Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda (PRTU), George Town for SMK Bukit Gambir. 41 individuals, both teachers and special needs students had the privilege to experience the new Penang ferry.

This unique experience not only allowed them to explore the transportation sector up close but also showcased our commitment to inclusivity. From accessible boarding to sensory-friendly spaces, every detail was designed to make this journey educational and enjoyable for all.

On 10 October 2023, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) collaborated with Whytehouse Education Group to provide an educational experience for teachers and students, aiming to deepen their understanding of the ferry history in Penang and highlight the port's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment.

Over 100 students and their teachers embarked on the Teluk Duyung ferry.

We emphasize the importance of supporting education and providing learning opportunities outside the classroom. Through this collaboration, students got to experience firsthand the facilities at the ferry terminal, which deepened their understanding of the ferry's operations.
