Blue Flower Class and Sunflower Class children showing off their work of art!
The 3 and 4 years olds made a simple flower, a stem and leave before colouring them. The 5 and 6 years old made a more complex flower.
The blue card has threads woven around it before the children draw their families on their cards. The older children wrote 'Happy Father's Day" by themselves while the teachers helped the younger ones.

D**g D**g D**g Qiang…. D**g D**g D**g Qiang…. D**g D**g Qiang D**g Qiang D**g Qiang….

Amidst the serene ambiance of Nania’s garden, the air resonates with graceful melodies as children take center stage. Their voices, sweet and harmonious, weave through the air, welcoming parents to the Chinese New Year festival.

Joyful laughter and rhythmic steps fill the space as children dance and sing traditional Chinese New Year songs. Their faces radiate excitement, their hearts brimming with anticipation. Parents, too, share in this joy, their eyes alight with pride.

The festivities continue with a captivating mini drum performance, the beats echoing the pulse of celebration. Children gather around, their hands clapping in rhythm, adding to the lively atmosphere. And then, the Ang Pao—those vibrant red envelopes—exchange hands, carrying blessings and good wishes.

A brief respite follows, where children indulge in mouthwatering mandarin oranges and delicate love letters cookies. The citrusy sweetness mingles with laughter, creating cherished memories.

As the sun begins its peak, the festival reaches its crescendo. The CNY puppet show unfolds, captivating young and old alike. Colorful characters dance across the stage, their stories intertwining with tradition.

And finally, the lion dance—a symbol of strength, courage, and prosperity—ushers in the festival’s grand finale. The lion’s vibrant movements mirror the children’s boundless energy, leaving everyone spellbound.

"Bento Day" was a special day when auntie Janet and kitchen staff prepared and children packed bento boxes, and they brought their handmade wallets with money to purchase these.

After that, children sat down on the picnic mats and had bento boxes delightfully 😄 Many of them asked for another one too.

It’s especially popular event for children because bento is so delicious.

We celebrated harvest festival on 13th October. The children were really looking forward to the day by counting down.

On the real day, they carried the absent children in their hearts as they enjoyed and shined. The bread baking right before the presentation was a bit of a rush. But the children worked hard happily to let parents try warm baked bread.

Young children gradually remember songs and poems through repetition. The rhythm of repetition is a very important element in early childhood education. In this process, it's important to maintain the same order, such as the order of singing. This helps to calm the children and build their anticipation for the events.

In the content of each event's poems, songs, and puppet plays, we incorporate what we want them to learn. Small children learn not just with their heads but with their hearts and bodies, allowing their bodies to grow. What they enthusiastically learn with joy will become their strength in life.

We celebrated our Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival or Mooncake Festival with the children at Nania on 26th September.

A day before the celebration, teachers brought the children to the kitchen to see the food dye(from butterfly pea and pandan leaves) making process carried out by Auntie Janet.

On the morning of the celebration, the children made their own moon cakes consisting of 1 blue and 1 green mooncake. After that, they also did packing.
Children were so happy to do all the processes and mooncake tasted so good too 🥮 🌕

It was a fun and memorable activity for children.

At Nania, there is an extra curriculum for 6 years old on one of the Fridays each month. This month’s was a T-shirt painting 🎨 Children had a blast painting on T-shirt by acrylic paints 🖌️Each one tells a unique story. But most of them drew rainbow 🌈. The picture of the rainbow indicates sign of joy and children have positive viewpoints. Check out children’s hand painted T-shirt below😄😄

At Nania, the lantern festival brings together elements from the Chinese Moon Cake Festival and the Japanese Summer Bon Festival.

Bon is the one of Japan's Summer Festival and is a time when people make offerings of food and other things to their ancestors and pray for the happiness of their ancestor's souls in the next world.

The Chinese Moon Cake Festival otherwise known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is the third major festival of the Chinese calendar.

On the festival day, children made some dango (rice dumpling) in the morning. Also, they covered small plastic bags around chair legs to prevent dirt and debris from spreading outside.

The festival began with poems and children sang a lot of songs. they also did a lantern walk with their handmade lanterns during the evening.

During this day of year, according to Chinese and Japanese folktales, The Weaver Princess and the Cowherd meet across the Milky Way to renew their love for each other. The children made Tanzaku with their wishes for this celebration.

On this Father's Day, we celebrate the incredible role daddies play. Daddy, your strength, resilience and unconditional love has supported me so much. Thank you for being an extraordinary daddy. Happy Father's Day.

At Nania, children made beautiful origami flowers, drew pictures on blue paper decorated with yarn for their daddies.

Sports day is always exciting and can bring people together in a spirit of camaraderie. After the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, it was wonderful that sports day was being held again.

On the sports day, there were many games to play. For instance, children ran with a bean bag on their head. Children lead their blindfolded daddy to a finish line to blow balloons. Everyone had fun jumping over a string of rubber bands that adjust to their respective heights.

Sports day had really memorable moments and
everyone simply enjoying the overall atmosphere and excitement.

It is a Japanese custom for families with boys to put up the Koinobori, or carp streamers, in their garden or on the roof on this day. The koinobori carp appear to be swimming vigorously against the current as they flutter in the wind.

At Nania, The children made a koinobori and a samurai hat as part of their class activities.

What do you think about AI?

AI has been a hot topic, especially lately with the introduction of ChatGpt. It is timely to explore what it means to be human and what it is that humans have that machines will not be able to have.

We are honored to have Mr. Alexander Schwedeler, the author of “Fully Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence“ this May 11, 8-10PM (Malaysia time) for an online sharing.

At Nania, we celebrate Easter as a New Life festival. A puppet show, drawing on eggs, eggs hunting, planting and lots of fun!

♪Puppet show’s story♪

A little girl and Mr. Caterpillar promised to play again, but it's sad that he later became a chrysalis and couldn't play with her anymore. Fortunately, the little girl meets Mr. Gnomes who gives her advice to go back to where she met Mr. Caterpillar, and she meets Mr. Rabbit along the way.

Mr. Rabbit invites the little girl to visit the Easter garden with him, where she meets a beautiful butterfly. The butterfly tells her that Mr. Caterpillar has been reborn as a butterfly, and the little girl dances joyfully with her best friend in the Easter garden.
