We are looking for potential sailors for an adventure of a lifetime!
DM me.
Welcome to the Ride of A Lifetime
Destiny is currently in Dar , Tanzania. This is a very easily accessible place in East Africa and home to the Serengetti and Masai Mara in nearby Kenya.
Destiny is on her circumnavigation and having crossed the Indian Ocean is now on a break.
Destiny is opening up 1 spot to a like minded sailor adventurer.( like myself and my friend Libor HolΕ‘Γ‘n )
We are preparing to head down towards Cape Town(CT) from here with stops along the coast of Tanzania , Mayotte and then perhaps some anchorages in Mozambique, before going into South Africa.
This will be a fantastic journey especially where we head down the 'wild coast' of SA.
This will not be for the faint hearted!
As such we are seeking someone with sailing experience and a sense of adventure. The person will be required to do night watches and some boat wide duties, perhaps even share cooking duties with Libor.
Departure dates. ( 2 legs)
Leg 1
October 1 to 5th depart Dar towards Mtwara, with a stop or two down the coast.
This is then followed by a channel crossing to Mayotte.( is a French colony so may require Schengen Visa so the crew to have this)
Early Nov , when weather permits is to head towards Richards Bay(RB) with stops should the weather get wilder.
We aim to be in RB by mid Nov 23.
Leg 2
Mid to 3rd week Nov , we start the sail towards CT.
We anticipate stops if the weather turns on us .
All efforts will be made to reach Hout Bay , near Cape Town between 15 and 20 th Dec 23.
We are extremely risk averse and safety will be the order of the day.
We have renowned weather router Mr Des Cason advising on the weather.
We have predictwind software also to have a general view of things.
The boat is well equipped and we made it through almost 7000nm from Malaysia safely.
The boat is a Hunter Legend 37.5.
Cost sharing will the model in use.
All boat expenses will be by owner.
It's not often that one gets around the wild coast of SA , and to pass one of the Greatest Capes in the world.
DM me for more information.
We will leave this offer open on a first come first serve basis.

Destiny is on a break till end September before she co
I am.planning to release a few IG ,FB posts over the next few days. It will showcase pictures of scenery (this post), followed by an Artsy post (something I am learning to do) and lastly my posts from my safari done in Kenya. Please let me know what the audience prefers. Destiny is on a break in Dar Es Salaam Yacht Club in Tanzania.
The journey resumes in September to tour Tanzania, Mayotte and Mozambique before heading to Richards Bay , South Africa.
This was the picture taken at kilimanjaro and with some highlights. First time for me showing milky way and kilimanjaro in background.
S23 ultra did a fantastic job!
Sailing as all the long distance cruisers will know is doing repairs in exotic locations. Just as I was about to head out for dinner in Dar, my water pump konked out on me.( the Whale) which is actually a new one replaced last September. Old workhorse was put back into action!
This made me thinking of what happened in the last 7000nm since leaving Malaysia.
First leg - water maker and toilet(3x), and the balance leg 2 , toilet (1x), and today the water pump. Otherwise , Destiny has been OK.we had spares so replacing them was doable but just time consuming.
We had an overall satisfactory 7000nm crossing the Indian Ocean. Thank God for that!
Have a good evening my dear sailors! AHOY!!!
Stunning view from Destiny.
Destiny will be here at the DYC for some time awaiting favourable winds to head south.
Am preparing a few types of images to showcase the beauty I have seen thus far on my journey.
Destiny has moved to the mooring.
This will be her home till early Sept before she embarks on another epic journey towards South Africa.
Haul out is planned at Richards Bay.
Still on the look out for crew.

A journey that started in February 23 in Port Klang Malaysia has jus ended phase 1 of our journey in Dar Es Salam Tanzania.
We have travelled almost 7000nm .
The last leg from Seychelles To Dar and completing the Indian Ocean was not easy, but now its done, and everyone including Destiny shall be taking a break.
It was an amazing journey.

Next stop Tanzania Dar Es Salam
Hoping for God's graces and blessings ahead of our final bit to cross the Indian Ocean.(approx 1000Nm with a course of about 250T)
Adieu Seychelles.
Destiny departs your beautiful waters and aiming for the shores of the mega continent of Africa.
Seychelles is an expensive place but it's balanced by its rugged beauty and its people. Not to mention Creole food!
Tanzania beckons for the crew of Destiny and a major landmark in her journey.

The first few pictures show Destiny parked next to a super yacht, Big Fish.
Impressive vessel! And so is our home , Destiny, which has brought us across the Indian Ocean thus far.
Our next leg is to Tanzania.
We would have completed the crossing of the Indian Ocean.
The rest of the pictures are what we have seen today in this beautiful island of Seychelles.
Now is time for us to move on this journey.
When we exploring the countryside.nice hike but the sea legs struggled.
It was in total about 5.5km.lots of granite rocks. Today all sore!
Seychelles ...the other part besides the sea.
When a sailor / explorer becomes a foodie.
Great food here.nice blend of various cultures.
To OCC and to Fabio from the OCC who helped me alot on this journey and the preparation work
The voyage of Destiny
Seychelles
It was an up and down journey towards Seychelles with bouts of no winds heading south from maldives and then rolly seas with good winds heading west from Maldives
Now is a bit of R&R for the weary sailors of Destiny. We did 1578nm to get here in 11 days.
Destiny 12
