Assalamualaikum and good morning everyone,
I'm saddened to announce that the tennis court at IOI Palm Garden Golf Club will be closed for renovations starting June onwards. This means there will no longer be a tennis court available at the club, it will be replaced by Pickleball.

Proper Breathing Techniques in tennis.
1. Deep Breathing:
Inhale deeply through your nose, expanding your diaphragm. Exhale slowly and completely through your mouth. Focus on filling your lungs with air to increase oxygen intake.
2. Timing with Shots:
Coordinate your breathing with your shots. For example, take a deep breath before serving or receiving a serve.
Exhale as you execute your shot, whether it's a forehand, backhand, or volley. This can help with timing and control.
3. Relaxation during Points:
Stay relaxed during points. Tension in your body can affect your breathing and overall performance.
In between points, take a moment to breathe deeply and regain composure.
4. Breathing Rhythm:
Establish a steady breathing rhythm. Consistent breathing helps maintain focus and control anxiety.
Experiment with finding a rhythm that suits your playing style and helps you stay calm under pressure.
5. Mindful Breathing:
Practice mindfulness by staying aware of your breath during the match. This can help you stay in the present moment and avoid distractions.
If you find your mind wandering or getting anxious, bring your attention back to your breath.
6. Controlled Breathing during Changeovers:
Use changeovers to regulate your breathing and reset mentally.
Take slow, deep breaths to calm your nervous system and prepare for the next set or game.
7. Stay Consistent:
Develop a consistent breathing routine in practice, so it becomes second nature during matches.
Work on controlled breathing in various situations, such as during rallies, while moving on the court, and between points.
8. Breathing Exercises:
Incorporate breathing exercises into your training routine. This can include meditation or yoga to enhance overall respiratory control.
