The popularity of Nasi Kerabu from Kelantan has spread across the country. When its sold outside of the state, it's always in blue color. In Kelantan, nasi kerabu is a special type of ‘nasi berlauk’ where warm, freshly cooked fluffy rice, its like salad rice tossed together to eat, and depending on whatever side dishes you choose, it is very nutritious. Served with sambal tumis gravy, however, the dressing combines budu with sweet sauce. Combined with bite-sized pieces of chicken. It’s a simple dish where the four elements combine together to create a delicious meal, which will leave you craving for seconds or more. As simple as it looks, Nasi Kerabu is not that easy to replicate. Many traders see it as simply rice with gravy rendang and chicken, So they would come up with their own version by guessing the recipe. But a proper Nasi Kerabu has an equal proportion of flavors

It consists of a hefty meal of aromatic rice that varies between the Terengganu and Kelantan states, with the exception that white rice and red-grain rice are used in different ways. Apart from that, it's all about the scrumptious Gulai Ikan Tongkol, which is Mackerel drowned in savoury and spicy curry which can water your mouth as soon as it served in front of you. The chunky white rice infused in a delicious blend of sweet coconut milk. It also has a wonderful combination of moist and dry textures, making each bite satisfying. Nyumss 😋
