Hi Everyone!
In view of many cases of influenza I would like to caution all of you on this. Today I had an emergency case when a 1 year old child came in with seizures for 45 mins ( which is really looong) . Apparently he was given suppository voren ( diclofenac sodium) for his fever. When we checked, child had Influenza A. Issue is, this can lead to a condition called Acute necrotizing encephalopathy which is dangerous. We had to resuscitate the child and was stabilized and referred to the paediatric ICU. Mummies - please take note of this and if your child is having fever and flu like illness - consult a doctor and getting a suppository Paracetamol is a safer choice. Love you all! It's time to rest after a looooong day
