Tan Wei Kheng was born in 1970 in Marudi, Sarawak. Tan’s paintings tell stories that are concerned about the survival of life and environmental issues. He travels regularly into the dense interior of Sarawak where he spends time with the tribes of the Orang Ulu, Kayan, Kenyah, Penan, Kelabit, and Iban. This painting portrays a Penan Hunter sitting in the kitchen perhaps thinking about food and concern on illegal logging activities particularly in the area.

During the , all Malaysian are affected, struggle in different ways to survive and save their finances. Let us help each other and continue to support those who in need. Stay safe and most importantly, stay strong.
