Last week ThoughtFull - Employee Mental Wellbeing and AIA Malaysia brought together industry champions across Malaysia, to discuss The Future of Work & Employee Well-being.
In 2022, AIA Malaysia x ThoughtFull - Employee Mental Wellbeing was the first in Asia to bring greater coverage to the region. Since then, we’ve made great strides to not only bring more affordability to mental health, but also in redefining the role of employers in this equation.
A few takeaways which we’re sure you’ll appreciate:
✨ Southeast Asia is the youngest region in the world. With majority of the workforce being Gen Z and younger, intergenerational challenges are commonplace in the changing landscape of workplace culture. How do we navigate that?
Keanu Azman and Nurlin Mohd Salleh explored how communication styles are now different, along with expectations of baseline resources. Health & Wellbeing is no longer a “nice to have” but a fundamental part of corporate culture. It’s no longer just productivity, it’s the HEAD, HEART, and HANDS of how a company functions.
✨In Asia, there are still many cultural aspects that need to evolve to overcome stigma. Nazaruddin Nicky Abdullah
and Darshini M.Nathan explored the importance of open cultures and leadership vulnerability - how do we build it? How can we embed it into our processes and policies?
✨One of the biggest gaps in mental health is the subjectivity of it all. How do we know if it’s even working? How do you measure it?
John Pinto introduced ThoughtFull Insights - our proprietary tool for doing just that.
If there’s one consensus we walked away with, it’s that we have much to do yet but dialogues like these show that we’re on the right track 💪🏼
