Eid al-Adha, also known as the "Festival of Sacrifice," is one of the most significant Islamic holidays. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah. However, Allah provided a Ram (Qibas) to sacrifice instead. This holiday is a reminder of the values of devotion, faith, and selflessness.

In Malaysia, Eid al-Adha will be observed from the evening of Sunday, June 16, 2024, through Monday, June 17, 2024. We wish you a blessed and joyous celebration filled with happiness and prosperity.

What We Do on Eid al-Adha:
1. Muslims gather for morning prayers at the mosque.
2. Sacrifice (Qurban): Families who can afford it will sacrifice an animal, usually a goat, sheep, cow, or camel. The meat is then distributed among family, friends, and those in need.
3. Charity and Giving: Emphasizing the importance of charity, Muslims ensure that everyone can partake in the celebrations by giving to the less fortunate.
4. Feasting and Celebrating: Families and friends come together to share meals, exchange gifts, and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
