It all began when a friend, whose family home was lying unoccupied, approached us and asked if we could somehow help them monetise the property. They had spent a fortune doing it up and it was fully furnished, awaiting some long term tenants their agent promised were out there, but who just never turned up.
We had a look at the place and realised its potential as a homestay and an event venue suitable for small garden weddings, new year gatherings and holidays in Penang. Adding to this is our reach into the F&B and tourism business and so we thought it would be a perfect first venue for a new business we’ve called Happy Hosts.
Since that first discussion, we’ve received more calls form homeowners whose houses are great for holidaying families or friends and we’re in discussion to manage those properties for them too.
Meanwhile, we’re happy to announce we’ve just launched our first property, a huge bungalow in Gelugor, and are now receiving bookings for this 5-bedroom landed home in a quiet. leafy area just minutes form Georgetown, Air Itam and even the airport.
