It’s Youthopia’s 5th anniversary today!

Time truly flies. Reflecting on our journey, it’s been anything but easy. We’ve faced countless challenges, questioned our path, and endured sleepless nights. Yet, here we are, celebrating five incredible years.

In these five years, we’ve grown not only as cofounders but as a dedicated team. We’ve built a support system that believes in our vision and friends who support us. Looking back, we never imagined reaching this point, but every small victory has been worth it.

I’m grateful to have shared this journey with you, Manu Menon. Here’s to the next 10-15 years of growth and success!

Welcoming 2024 with Hearts Full of Hope and Ambition! 🚀 This past year at Youthopia has been a fantastic adventure, empowering children and adults with unique, playful learning experiences. 🧩💡 As we bid farewell to 2023, we're filled with pride and excitement for what's ahead.

So, 2023 was a great year for Youthopia. We added new revenue streams to the business by creating a couple of service offerings. Firstly, we created a service that offers learning programmes in schools in collaboration with brands and companies. We also launched a division, Youthopia Labs, that custom-builds games for companies. These games can be used to gamify the learning experience in companies or be used as a marketing tool to reach younger audiences.

It has been a busy 2023 on all fronts. As of 15th December, we completed the schools' outreach project with Laurier of Kao Japan. The team worked tirelessly to conduct talks in 144 schools across Peninsula Malaysia. Final count - we conducted talks for 26,003 school girls! Thanks, Rashmira and Siddartha for your support in executing this.

We also secured a game development project with a leading shipping company in Malaysia which is to be used as an awareness-building exercise for thousands of their employees. Very excited to see the final product which will be completed at the end of the year. Thanks, Nathalia Lim, Sheng Yih and James for your effort in delivering a great final product.

2024 will be a watershed year for Youthopia. Besides growing the team and our services business, we are hard at work developing IP and products that solve some pressing issues in our world today. Watch this space!

The XtraSchool team had a fruitful day helping some bright refugee kids get exposed to 21st Century Skills together with and Change Education Project. We hope to see how these children progress and learn these crucial skills that are not normally taught at schools.

So grateful that Youthopia was selected as the Top 12 out of more than 60 startups in Alibaba Cloud Innovation Centre - KL recent demo day. This gives us the motivation to keep going and make a change in the education sector. Onwards and upwards!

World Children's Day was on the 20th of November and we were so glad to spend time with children at PPR Taman Wahyu.

We are helping 50 children from this community get future-ready by providing them access to our self-paced learning platform. This project was made possible by the committed and selfless folks at TECH OUTREACH

Thanks Susheela Sabaratnam for roping us in as your programme partner for this project.

Our CEO believes that gamification does the trick. The extrinsic motivation of unlocking new badges keeps students on track and helps them progress through the different learning modules.
