Today MozParks received the Secretary of State of Maputo Province, Her Excellency Judite Faria, it was an opportunity to discuss the current development level of MozParks and the Beluluane Industrial Park in specific. We pointed out the encouraging prospects for the coming years, aiming to attract more industries and generate more jobs for Mozambicans.

MozParks is once again recognized for its contribution to the business development process in Maputo Province. Having received today, from the hands of His Excellency Silvino Moreno, Minister of Industry and Commerce, a Certificate of Merit awarded by the Business Federation of the Province (ACIM).

MozParks, in partnership with EnergyWorks,Lda , conducted an Environmental Workshop today at Beluluane Industrial Park. The workshop, attended by representative from 16 companies based at MozParks' Beluluane site, addressed issues relating to certification, improvement of environmental performance and occupational health. This workshop was one of many ways in which MozParks is delivering an sustainable green economy in our parks

On the 4th of September 2023, Her Excellency Elina Judite Massengele, Governor of Niassa, visited Beluluane Industrial Park to discuss the implementation of industrial parks in Niassa province. This visit served as an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas with MozParks, which she praised for their work. Niassa Governor expressed a keen interest in collaborating with MozParks to achieve their shared goal of industrializing the province.

MozParks today welcomed H.E. Jacqueline Lydia MIKOLO, the Minister of Small and Medium Size Enterprises and Handcraft of the Republic of Congo, to Beluluane Industrial Park. Her mission is to explore the possible opportunities and cooperation of SMEs in the Park, as well as to share and learn from MozParks' operations of the IFZ/SEZ for application in the Republic of Congo.

The Provincial Assembly of Inhambane seek experience in sustainable industrial development model at MozParks - Beluluane Industrial Park

Inhambane members of provincial Assembly were very impressed and expressed the interest to see a MozParks in the province.

GOVERNMENT OF MOZAMBIQUE DECLARES TOPUITO INDUSTRIAL PARK AS AN INDUSTRIAL FREE ZONE

The Government of Mozambique, through the Council of Ministers, yesterday, 15th of August 2023, approved Topuito Industrial Park (TIP) in Larde, Nampula province as an Industrial Free Zone (IFZ) regime, thus acquiring the same status as the Beluluane Industrial Park regime, the largest in the country. The Industrial Free Zone creates an attractive business environment, comprising a number of benefits, such as exemption of customs duties on the import of construction materials, machinery, equipment, accessories, and spare parts; exemption from Value Added Tax (VAT) on transfers of goods and services; exemption from Corporate Income Tax (IRPC) in the first 10 years of fiscal years; reduction of the IRPC rate by 50%, from the 11th to the 15th fiscal year; and reduction of the IRPC rate by 25 during the entire life of the project.

The President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency William Samoei Ruto, today visited Beluluane Industrial Park. He was accompanied by Kenya’s Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Dr Alfred Mutua several and other government officials including the private sector. MozParks' General Director Onorio Manuel, shared Mozparks' experience in the development of the SEZ and IFZ and the interest to develop this sustainable industrial model in Kenya via the African Sustainable Economic Zone (ASEZA).

The President was very impressed with the development that he saw in the Industrial Park. His Excellency President Ruto took time to tour the Park and visited Capital Star Steel, (manufactures steel pipe and serves the International Oil and Gas, Mining and Bulk Water industries) and Midal Cables International Limitada (Aluminium & Aluminium Alloy rod, wire & conductor factory) as part of the official visit to Beluluane Industrial Park.

The IFC - International Finance Corporation team, led by Gokhan Akinci, Head of the Advisory for the Creation of Markets in Eastern and Southern Africa, visited MozParks - Beluluane Industrial Park on Friday, July 21st. The primary objective of the visit was to foster dialogue between the private sector and the Government, seeking opportunities to collaborate and promote private investments in Special Economic Zones (SEZs), industrial parks, and job creation.

Accompanying Mr. Akinci were Mr. Pedro Andres-Amo and Mrs. Michelle Souto, representing the IFC's Mozambique Office. They visited and Capital Star Steel S.a.

The team explored ways to facilitate private investments in SEZs and industrial parks, aiming to generate economic growth and job opportunities. They discussed legal aspects and potential frameworks to support these collaborative efforts.

MozParks Holding and Kenmare Moma Mining (Mauritius) Limited have signed an agreement an announced, in a ceremony presided over by Silvino Moreno the Mozambican Minister of Trade and Industry and Manuel Rodrigues governor of Nampula province, their collaboration to establish an industrial park and free trade zone in Mozambique.

This joint venture aims to stimulate economic growth and create jobs by attracting investors to Topuito and working with the local communities and businesses. Topuito Industrial Park (TIP) will act as a driver for development within the province and, directly and indirectly, provide income to over 100,000 people TIP provides a well-organized and specialized ecosystem that fosters economic growth, collaboration, efficiency, and sustainability within the industrial sector.

MozParks recently organized a workshop in collaboration with Customs, a valuable initiative to support and empower investors operating in Beluluane Industrial Park.

The participating companies expressed their utmost satisfaction with the comprehensive assistance provided by MozParks. They firmly believe that the exceptional facilities offered by MozParks enable them to enhance their competitiveness in the business environment.

Hoje, uma delegação de Cabo de Delgado efectuou uma visita de trabalho ao Parque Industrial de Beluluane no distrito de Boane, Província de Maputo.

A delegação chefiada pelo Secretário de Estado na província de Cabo Delgado, António Njanje Taimo Supeia, pretendia buscar experiência em matéria de gestão de parques industriais.

Pretendia ainda, a comitiva que para além do Secretário de Estado integrarou o Presidente da Assembléia Provincial, Francisco Loureiro e o assistente de Secretário de Estado, Sérgio Sauale, inteirar-se dos desafios das actividades que o Parque Nacional de Beluluane vem desenvolvendo no contexto da reposta de mais uma implantação de um Parque Industrial naquela província nortenha de Moçambique.

A delegação foi recebida pelo Director Geral do Grupo MozParks Holding, entidade que gere o Parque Industrial de Beluluane.

No encontro, Onorio Manuel, falou das actividades, gestão e desafios do Parque Industrial de Beluluane, bem como dos projectos da MozParks Holding no sector industrial em " .

“O parque Industrial de Beluluane é gerido pela MozParks Holding, o mesmo que acaba de abrir mais um parque industrial na província de Cabo Delgado. Por isso, esta visita surge como forma de troca de experiência sobre como é que funciona aqui em Maputo”, explicou o Onorio Manuel.
