FACT ABOUT NECK AND BACK PAIN
• Back and neck pain is usually not due to any serious disease.
• Most back and neck pain settles quickly and is not disabling.
• About 90% of the population will suffer from back and neck pain at a certain time in their lives.
• About half the people who get back and neck pain will have it again within a couple of years. This still does not mean that it is serious. Between attacks most people return to normal activities with few, if any symptoms.
• Back and neck pain can be very painful and you might need to reduce some activities for a while.
CORRECT ACTIONS:
Rest for more than a day or two does not help and may do more harm than good.
• Your spine is designed to move. The sooner you get back to normal activity, the sooner your back will feel normal.
• The people who cope best are those who stay active and get on with their life despite the pain.
Agility wishes all our clients a prosperous 2024. May you be blessed with happiness and success, and that all your dreams come true.
Our clinics will be open again from Monday 8 January again. If you experience any pain in your back, shoulders, neck and knee, contact your doctor, or call Agility directly for an assessment. Our applied DBC treatment protocols will help to relief the pain and improve your quality of life.

With a 90% success rate of eliminating pain, DBC treatment protocols show that physical therapy can sometimes be as effective as surgery. It helps patients to manage pain over a shorter period of time and even costs an estimated 80% less than surgery. If you suffer from chronic back, neck, shoulder hips or knee pain, see Agility first for an assessment that might help you avoid surgery.
Lower back pain is very common but should not be taken lightly. It can result from a strain (injury) to muscles or tendons in the back. Other causes include arthritis, structural problems and disk injuries. Read the informative article from DBC Global to find out more.

MOVE AGAIN... THROUGH OUR APPLIED DBC ACTIVE REHABILITATION PROGRAMME.

MUSCLE PAIN CAN WORSEN IN WINTERTIME
Injuries or ageing are typically linked to joint discomfort. Wintertime might make the pain even worse. Many people who typically don't have joint pain at any other time of the year may do so during the winter.
The leading cause of joint pain in the winter is the chilly, low temperature. Our bodies endure muscle spasms in low temperatures, which can worsen our joints and result in stiffness. Our bodies' pain receptors become more sensitive in the winter, which intensifies our already intense agony.
If you should feel any musculoskeletal pain contact us at Agility for an assessment. We offer effective specialised therapy based on the successful DBC treatment programme.

WHAT CAUSES MUSCULOSKELETAL PAIN?
An injury such as a fracture may cause sudden, severe pain. Bone pain caused by fracture, joint pain such as muscle spasms or cramps, or tendon and ligament paint caused by sprains or strains are all types of musculoskeletal pain.
Joint dislocations, bone fractures, direct blows to muscles, bones or joints, arthritis and even poor posture can cause such pain.
If musculoskeletal pain interferes with your usual activities, speak with your healthcare provider or contact Agility directly. Our DBC-based treatment programme can help to relieve the pain.
