Last Saturday marked the beginning of our new journey at Jumper Namibia, as we held our first ever photography workshop.

Windhoek city tours have never been this enjoyable or straightforward. In collaboration with Chameleon Safaris Namibia, we launched the City and Township tour campaign on November 4th to promote Namibia tourism around the world through Virtual reality :)

We used a combination of 360 videography and a virtual reality headset for tourists from around the world to see the township, the old location, Single Quarters, and the Havana settlements. A site that aims to connect creatives.For this episode, We had Lukas and Olivia who are both photographers based in Windhoek.

Alludio Academy is a private school based in Windhoek. On the 10th & 11th of October, we visited and introduced the virtual reality world to the learners of the school. Learners in a VR environment can engage with what they see as if they were physically present. Virtual reality in education can encourage pupils' creativity and ignite their imaginations. The school outreach helps us understand the type of VR apps we can develop for educational purposes.

How can we localize the use of VR in Namibia?

Thanks to Turipamwe, we got an opportunity to build a Virtual Reality mine experience for the B2Gold booth. Visitors who came to the stand had the opportunity to explore the underground mine and other mining sections of the B2GOLD Oshikoto Mine. What made it even more fantastic was that the sections were shot in a way that gave people the feeling of being at the mine.

Congratulations to B2Gold Namibia on winning the Best Stand award in 2022!. Jumper Namibia would also like to thank the freelancers who assisted us with this project.

We went to visit the Young Achiever Empowerment Group today to introduce them to Virtual Reality. We had an open discussion about technology and its potential for young people's growth. It was wonderful to meet such open-minded young people.

Young Achievers sit in a circle for their meetings to represent equality among all members. They dissect issues that affect young people and our communities.
