Asides from her year one when you paid her fees and gave her feeding allowances, she no longer asks you money for upkeep. She pays her school fees herself.

She doesn't come home during school breaks.

The last time she came home in December, she was looking sophisticated; wearing a bone straight and using a high-end device.

But, that didn't bother you as her parents.

Instead of you to be worried about how your daughter is funding her lifestyle, what do you do?

You start billing her.

You put the responsibility of paying her younger siblings school fees on her.

When there's no food at home, you ask her to send money.

You want to go to the hospital for check-up, you bill your daughter.

You want to buy a sewing machine, you bill your daughter.

You as parents are no longer the ones taking the responsibility of the family. It's your daughter who is still an undergraduate that's now in charge of your responsibility.

You have no idea what your daughter is doing in school and you don't care. All you do is to go about telling your neighbors that God don bless your pikin.

Your daughter is now the bread winner of the family and that doesn't bother you.

You mount so much pressure on the young girl's head and emotionally blackmail her into thinking she was born into rescuing the family from poverty.

Where do you expect her to source that kind of money from?

Parents in this country are irresponsible!
