Koo Nigeria
Koo is a micro blogging platform.
Season's Greetings Nigeria!
When a Koo Nigeria Territory ambassador goes to Kanpur, India....
Wazir Ali, is from Kano Nigeria and was recently one of those chosen by the Indian High Commission Abuja to go to India to learn Hindi at the Hindi Institute designated for this purpose.
It's always a joy to see Wazir wearing his cap in Koo's home country. with more pride than some Indian citizens themselves.
Thank you Wazir Ali for making us in this territory proud. That Koo cap has travelled with Wazir all over the towns he's visiting in India.
A Nigerian wearing his Koo cap with pride....
A year ago, a group of first Koo users in Abuja Nigeria organised a hangout, this served as an avenue to meet directly with our users and the feedback proved vital for our development.
To them, we remain grateful.
Our prayers are with you LEGEND. KING.
Thank you Brazil for giving Koo so much love.
The passion is encouraging. Surely, we will get to the promised land.
The prospects of doing well are tremendous. The idea of giving indigenous languages a global platform would only ensure their documentation and preservation. The respect for local customs and norms has endeared us to nations outside India, especially in where we've had our first international presence.
We are been seen as partners in progress, uniters of a nation rather than being part of its destruction. We are not party to any nations carnage. We are Koo, the South South's answer to a creating a south south voice, giving prominence to our collective cultures. We are Koo and our bird will fly higher than anyone before it. And we won't loose our focus.
Happy Divali.
“Non-violence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man.”- MAHATMA GANDHI
May the labour of our hero’s past, never be in vain.
Happy Independence Nigeria. Best wishes from
Dear Patrons,
Good Morning.
In continuation of our emphasis on Language and Culture, we would be asking some questions weeky on our language channels ( and ). Fastest fingers with the correct answer will win recharge cards.
Keep Kooing!!
75 years of Independence, 5000 years of history!
Proudly Indian. Proudly Global.
These are the kind of things we like to celebrate.
CONGRATULATIONS Nigeria!!
Eid Mubarak Nigeria!!!
Yola, the capital city of Adamawa State in North East Nigeria is also the traditional seat of the Adamawa (Fombina) Emirate, which was the largest Emirate with the Sokoto Caliphate and spanned from Yola Nigeria to the Central Africa Republic, including Northern Cameroon and Southern fringes of Chad Republic.
In recent times, we have had a lot of tranction for Koo from this axis, in fact Adamawa State is the first state to be completely ported on Koo with the Governor, Government, the Lamido (Emir), present and past members of parliament maintaining handles on Koo. The Koo Fula language handle too, is maintained on Koo as well.
In line with the Koo CEO’s (Aprameya Radhakrishan) policy of increased community building and engagement, we at Koo-Nigeria Territory supported a local Football team ( remember Nigeria is Football mad and football here is a strong uniting factor) Sansiro FC as they play in a local league involving 20 teams from 3 Local Government areas.
The boys were delighted with the support and after each goal scored, the commentators and supporters were shouting “Kooo”. We were delighted when the palace spokesperson ( His Highness the Kaakaakey Fombina, Abba Tahir PhD) came to the venue to support Koo on behalf of the palace and the local community and his remarks at the occasion left us with not only a sense of pride but of responsibility that for the first time in Nigeria, an international social media company is trying to reach out to the grassroots to foster unity through football.
And yes, Sansiro FC won the match by 3 goals to 1.
It is our pleasure to welcome NNPP onto the Koo Platform.
Happy Kooing!
Now Verified on the Koo Platform....
Happy kooing!
Koo wants to be the largest opinion platform of the world without an opinion of our own: Founder Aprameya Radhakrishna Koo is now available in 10 Indian languages including English with over 20 million downloads so far. Radhakrishna says up to 40 per cent of these users are active every month on the platform.
We were surprised when we were called out to come and present some medals and certificates to winners of the just concluded at the National Stadium Abuja Nigeria. It was a proud moment to be wearing the Koo branded T-shirt and cap for me while facing the Indian Community in Abuja.
Koo was the official media partner of the event which was also endorsed by the Indian High Commission.
It is an honour to be the official media partners of the Indian Cultural Association Abuja's first ever Sports Week endorsed by the Indian High-Commission Abuja. This sports week is the first time that such an event has been organised by an indian association in its 100 year plus presence in Nigeria.
Twitter rival Koo introduces self-verification feature now - Times of India Koo, the micro-blogging platform for Indian languages, has introduced a voluntary self-verification feature denoted by a green tick on the users’ profiles. Users can choose to authenticate themselves with a government-approved ID card.
Dear Patrons,
As you can see, the Hausa language platform has gone "LIVE" on Koo.
You can write in English and have your message translated in Hausa and Vice Versa. Keep Kooing.
Yesterday, we launched the Hausa Language on the Platform in the center of the Hausa culture- . This means that the Hausa tongue spoken by about 75million people either as a first or a second language becomes the first language outside India to be onboarded on koo and perhaps by any other social media.
By this we don't mean having a Google translate type of AI interface. NO. We had translators that sat down to create language threats in standardized hausa (Kano dialect) and translated these threads thus. What this means, is that the Hausa translations on Koo are not generic but the closest possible translations of words and meanings.
This would be a continuous process, so that new words and slang get onboarded as they are approved by language experts.
Thank you . We remain grateful.
Next week Hausa, a Language spoken by about 75 Million people would become the first African language to be onboarded on Koo.
