Update on Borno's Second Flyover Project

The administration of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum is advancing the construction of Borno's second flyover, aimed at alleviating traffic congestion and fostering infrastructural growth in the state capital.

Initially, Governor Zulum oversaw the construction of Borno's inaugural flyover, featuring upper and lower tiers. This project, situated near the customs roundabout and providing vital links to various parts of the city, commenced in January 2020. It culminated in a grand commissioning ceremony presided over by President Buhari in December 2021.

The forthcoming second flyover is poised to be strategically positioned around the Borno Express, which serves as a pivotal T-junction. This location facilitates access to key areas of Maiduguri, including the International Airport, Township Stadium, Tashan Kano, as well as the central district comprising the Secretariat, Post Office, and Monday Market.

The addition of this second flyover not only underscores the commitment of the Zulum administration to enhancing urban mobility and connectivity but also signifies a significant milestone in the ongoing infrastructural development efforts within the state capital.

The Super Eagles take one step to doing it again as they progress into the AFCON2023 round of 16 as group A runners up.

Earlier today at the flag off of the Expanded National MSME Clinics in Makurdi, Benue State, I announced plans to formalize one million businesses across Nigeria at a discounted rate.

The event marked the first stop on a nationwide journey to empower small and medium-sized businesses.

The Expanded MSME Clinics, the first of its kind under the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, aims to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by breaking down barriers and providing crucial resources.

Benue's pioneership of the MSME Clinic sets the stage for a nationwide rollout scheduled to traverse Ebonyi, Ogun, Delta, Kaduna, Borno, Katsina States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in a meticulously planned itinerary for the first half of 2024.

This will culminate in the National MSME Awards, a fitting celebration of entrepreneurial spirit coinciding with World MSME Day, on June 27, 2024 in Abuja.

I also took time while in the State to visit the Ichwa IDP camp in Makurdi, where I offered solace and support to those displaced by conflict.

I met with families, listened to their stories of loss and displacement and assured them of President Tinubu's unwavering commitment to their well-being.
