HOW DO YOU ATTRACT AND SUSTAIN SUPERNATURAL SUPPLY

1. ‌By New birth. You must be born again.
2. ‌Through obedience. Obedience provokes the supernatural supply. Gen 12:1-3.
3. ‌Through studying the word.
4. ‌Through prayers

5. ‌By practicing covenant practice.

The choir led us in moments of intense worship and God was glorified.

MESSAGE TITLE: Basic truths about Evangelism and Discipleship

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EVANGELISM (SOUL WINNING) AND DISCIPLESHIP
# Evangelism is the act of spreading the gospel, telling people about who Jesus Christ is, and giving them the opportunity of responding to the gospel by communicating God’s love to them.
# Evangelism is the beginning of the journey in faith; it is through it that many will get to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, and for some it might just be their first time, and they may be interested in knowing more.
# Whether we realize it or not, all Christians have been evangelized in a way. Some through friends, some through family members, some on the street, some through dreams. However, whatever the means, it is simply evangelism, spreading of the gospel, and the power of God unto salvation.

# Discipleship means to be a follower or s student of some kind of philosophy or way of living. When we take a clue from Jesus’ disciples in the bible, we will realize that they spent endless time with Him, learning from Him, hearing Him teach, and adopting His ways in their own lives.
# To disciple someone could even mean to mentor the person. Jesus have commanded us to bring forth fruit and ensure that they remain (John 15:16).
# Discipleship was the final command that we were given by Jesus. It is to go and build people up in Christ. In order for them to become strong believers and followers of Jesus, observing all that Jesus commanded us.
# Discipleship was the great commission that all the followers of Jesus Christ was given before He ascended into heaven.
Discipleship takes evangelism a step further by taking someone who has been evangelized and now teaching them, what it means to be a Christian, and how to live as a Christian.

WHAT AN EVANGELIST CAN PREACH ABOUT
First, we must understand that an evangelist is someone who spreads the gospel and message of salvation to others; and by this, every believer is an evangelist, because Jesus commanded us to preach the gospel, and He did not limit it to a certain category of people (Mark 16:15).

God gives you the unique ability and boldness by the Holy Ghost to clearly and effectively communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ to others; especially because of your love for the lost, and the burden in your heart for their soul, which makes you go out of your way to share the gospel with them.

As an evangelist, it is imperative to focus on the core message of the gospel, which is the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

Some specific topics that you can preach about when evangelizing include:

1. THE PERSON AND WORK OF JESUS: This could include the teachings about the identity of Jesus Christ as the son of God, His life, ministry, death and resurrection, and how His death and resurrection provides a way for people to be forgiven of their sins and receive eternal life.

2. THE NATURE OF SIN AND THE NEED FOR SALVATION: You might talk about the reality of sin in the world and the fact that people are separated from God because of their sin. That God loves sinners but hates sin. That it is not God’s wish that anyone should perish but that His desire for every man is to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and be save (2 Peter 3:9).

3. THE PLAN OF SALVATION: This could include teachings on how to receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, and not by their works. It could also be about the importance of repentance, the role of God’s grace in salvation, and the importance of being born again through faith in Jesus, and that salvation is the gift of God to mankind (Ephesians 2:8-10).

4. THE ROLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: Here, you can talk about how the Holy Spirit helps believers to grow in their faith and live a godly life, and let them know He can help them too (Galatians 5:22-25).

CONCLUSION: It is very important to focus on the core message of the gospel and to be faithful in sharing it with others in a clear and compelling way.
More than any previous generation that has existed, we have been blessed with all the materials, the technology, and an inspired message to bring the gospel to all men, and thus, more is expected of us to spread the gospel more than any other generation before us.
The call to evangelize is very urgent, as we have limited time here on earth, and if we do not start spreading the gospel as soon as we can, many people may pass without hearing the gospel or having the opportunity to be reconciled to God. Jesus said I must work the work of Him who sent me, while it is day; the night comes when no man can work (John 9:4). Dead people do not evangelize or grow people to become matured Christians, so let us do well to do the work of an evangelist while we are still breathing. As you do so, God will bless you and all that concerns you.
Above all, always focus on Jesus Christ for effective soul winning and discipleship.
