Michael Bamidele Opeyemi, MOB has revealed the secret behind his sojourn into Ekiti politics.

The lawmaker who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters disclosed this while paying glowing tributes to Otunba Niyi Adebayo at the occasion of the launching of 2022 edition of his mega empowerment program to the people of his constituency on Tuesday.
Describing the former first Executive Governor of the state as amiable leader and mentor, Senator Bamidele stated that the journey started in 2010 while serving in Lagos State as a two-term commissioner.
According to him: “I received a call from Otunba Niyi Adebayo sometime in the year 2010 and he simply said, Opeyemi, I understand you are interested in becoming senator and you want to run for senate in Ekiti. I said, ‘Your Excellency, if I have your support, by the grace of God, I will’ and I said my only concern sir is that most governors and former governors want to retire in the senate, I’m not sure whether you are nursing such ambition and if you do, it becomes a no-no, for me without any argument.
“And Otunba said, Don’t worry about that, you have my full support and he said Dr Kayode Fayemi just left his house and I discussed it with him. Otunba did not only support me in words, he took a proactive step and the first step he took was to ask one of his closest allies to come to Lagos to take me and bring me to Ekiti and give me a list of people whose houses he should take me to for official introduction and that close ally who he invited from Ibadan to Lagos to come and bring me to Ekiti was Hon Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji BAO and that began the journey of political career in Ekiti”
The lawmaker added that no one else deserves to be the chairman of the occasion than Otunba Niyi Adebayo in view of his remarkable role in his political career

Today , His Excellency Otunba Niyi Adebayo, attended the commissioning of 2 new brands of Innoson vehicles in Nnewi ,Anambra State. Innoson shuttle ,7 Seater ,1.5 engine capacity minibus, InnosonConnect 1.5 engine capacity car and an automated robotic spraying booth.

Today,the permanent office complex of the Standard Organisation of Nigeria, Ekiti State was commissioned by the Hon Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo. Currently, construction work has commenced on the permanent site of Nigeria Automotive, Bank of Industry (BOI) and Industrial Training Fund(ITF) all being influenced by the Hon Minister who luckily is a son of the soil.

Today, the Iyin-Ekiti delegation to the Senate Public hearing on the proposed University of Health and medical sciences, Iyin Ekiti met with the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo at his office in Abuja.
The team, led by Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye, Oyinyosaiye Uyin III, Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, was joined by H.E. Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, Hon Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment; and Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB), Senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District.
The delegation canvassed the support of the Vice-president for two bills of great importance to the community;
1. Bill for the Establishment of Federal University of Health and Medical Sciences, Iyin Ekiti
2. Bill to name Federal University, Oye-Ekiti after General Adeyinka Adebayo, as announced at his funeral.
The team informed the Vice-president that both bills had passed second reading at the Senate, urging him to lend his support at the necessary level.
The Vice-president congratulated Oba Ajakaiye and the community for having a special breed of Sons and Daughters whose efforts has yielded this much. While expressing his strong belief in the bills progression at the Senate, he promised his total support for the actualisation of the two bills at the crucial stage.
Other members of the delegation were Iyin-Ekiti Quarter Chiefs; President, Iyin Progressive Federal Union (IPFU),Was Represented by their VP Permanent Secretary, Ekiti State Ministry of Health Pastor Akinjide Akinleye; the first professor of Architecture in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa, Prof. Adeyinka Adeyemi; Iyin Ekiti Youth Forum (IYF) President, Comrade Abayomi Ogundipe and Treasurer, Comrade Ganiyu Lateef.

Buhari receives first made in Nigeria cell phone.

President Muhammadu Buhari has taken delivery of the first ever Nigeria-made cellphone called ITF Mobile.
The product was presented to him by Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, just before commencement of the week’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Introducing the product to the President, Adebayo said it was produced by the Electrical/Electronics Technology Department of the Industrial Training Fund’s (ITF) Model Skills Training Centre, using locally sourced components.
“Twelve indigenous mobile cell phones produced by the Model Skills Training Centre of the Industrial Training Fund; an agency under Ministry of Industry Trade and Investment was launched.
“It gives me great pleasure, Mr President, to present you with one of the phones,” Adebayo said.

His Excellency Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, first Nigeria-Ghana bilateral meeting for the day has commenced.
Trade ties are particularly important, hence Nigeria and Ghana need to ease the current tensions between Nigerian traders in Ghana and the Ghanaian Government.
