My great people, at this critical point in our history, I want to thank all members of the Peoples Democratic Party and reverred leaders who have identified themselves with our drive to reposition the Party.

I particularly appreciate members of Biodun Olujimi Team for their endless, vibrant and reliable support for me and our collective philosophy.

We are undaunted and will not retreat in our pursuit for social justice and stand against impunity and injustice.

Pls Remain steadfast as leadership is looking for ways that will not make the ship of the party to hit the rock . I assure u that I shall not betray the trust reposed in me.

BIODUN OLUJIMI BOYCOTTS EKITI PDP PRIMARY, SAYS SHE HAS BEEN DISENFRANCHISED

Senator Biodun Olujimi announced this while briefing newsmen at the Pope John Paul 2 Pastoral Centre, Ikere Road, Ado-Ekiti where the accreditation of delegates was ongoing

She explained that her decision to step back was due to alleged irregularities that has characterised the process of the poll

She alleged that the delegate list brought by the electoral team had been doctored in favour of a camp

When asked whether she stepped down for any aspirant, Olujimi said, "I have only pulled out of the race and not for any aspirant

"My party has not been fair to me at all, I feel cheated with the ongoing situation."

Dear Delegates,

You are not here merely to make a living, you have a greater purpose, you are here in order to enable Ekiti ketes to live more amply and lead a better life, you are here to determine the fate of Ekiti people both indigents and residents for the next four years; Either our people rise or fall depends on you and your vote. You have the power to make or mar the chances of PDP; the entire PDP members and supporters are looking up to you as you will decide if we will take over government come June 18 or we will still leave governance to the opposition despite all the harms they are doing to our people and collective heritage.

You hold a position of responsibility and going forward you must wield that responsibility well, we need you to elect a winner as our flag bearer, a winner that kept our light as a party alive in these past years despite attack from opposition and anti party proclamations, a winner that thrives against all odds....

We need you to elect a leader capable of changing our fortunes as a state and a people for the better, a leader that does not discriminate but preaches love and unity.

A leader with vision and passion, one who is not afraid of any problem, instead ready and able to rise to the occasion and provide solutions. A leader with integrity and one who believes in equity.

We need you to elect capacity, personality and finesse all rolled in to one.

We need you to elect Biodun Olujimi as our flag beare, she represents the sum of all that will make us win, her work speaks volume and her acceptance all over the state is unequalled, moreso she represents the south and the entire Ekiti women, two blocs that will surely sway the general elections in our favor.

The feminine political voice is personal. It's intimate. It's caregiving and life enhancing. It's about bringing more love, caring and justice into the world. It's also fierce and determined.

PDP NWC moves to unite Ekiti PDP, sets up reconciliation committee, invites all PDP Guber Aspirants to a meeting.

Ekiti Guber aspirants were invited to the inaugural meeting of the Reconciliation Committee on the Ekiti State Governorship Election also attended by PDP governors from other states and other prominent party stakeholders.

The meeting was at the instance of the National Working Committee (NWC) led by the National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, who threatened sanctions on any aspirant who resort to anti-party activities.

In his opening address, Ayu warned that all aspirants must support any of them the party decide field in the election.

According to him, doing otherwise will amount to anti-party that he said was the bane of the PDP in the previous elections it lost.

The party boss said: “The mood of the party is that of a united house. The mood of the party is that of a party that will fight together as one united force and hopefully, we should be able to recapture as many states as possible, as many members of the National Assembly, both the two houses as possible or state houses of assembly.

“We’re not going into any election to lose. We are going into every single election with the determination to win and I think that should be the mood of every member of the PDP family. It is not important to us in the leadership of the party whether you like a particular candidate or not.

“Once the party decides on the candidates, it is the responsibility of every member of the PDP family to fight for that candidate because you’re not just fighting for that candidate you are fighting for the PDP.

“So, you have a responsibility to support him. Anybody that does otherwise we’ll be considered as working against the PDP. So, it will be regarded as anti-party.

“The mood of the PDP today is that anybody who works against the PDP will not just walk away because we don’t want members of our party fighting against members of the party.
