Did you know, the song "It Is Well With My Soul" was written by a successful Christian lawyer Heratio Spafford. His only son died at age 4 in 1871. In 1872, the great Chicago fire wiped out his vast estate, made from a successful legal career.

In 1873 he sent his wife and four daughters over to Europe on a summer trip on the ill fated SS Ville du Havre. Since he had a lot of work to do, he planned to follow them later. The ship sank and he lost his four daughters with the wife being the only survivor. She sent him a famous telegram which simply read, "SAVED ALONE......"

On his return home, his Law firm was burned down and the insurance company refused to pay him. They said, iIt's an act of God."

He had no money to pay for his house and no work, he also lost his house. Then while sitting and thinking what's happening to him, being a spiritual person, he wrote a song - "Whatever, my Lord, You have taught me to say - It is well, it is well with my soul."

My dear friend, a good attitude will determine your altitude. When you look at your life, career, job or family life, what do you say? Do you praise God? Do you blame the devil? A good attitude towards God makes Him move on your behalf.

Just sit down and say, "Today, God, it is well with my soul, I am thankful I had a peaceful sleep, I am thankful I am alive with possibilities, I am thankful I have a roof over me, I am thankful I have a job, I am thankful that I have family and friends. Above all, I am thankful that I have the Lord Jesus Christ on my side."

Be blessed and don't be envious or shocked when others are prospering because you don't know what they have been through to get there (test, trials and tribulation) so thank God for what you have. "Little is much when God is in it. It is well with my soul!"

Touch someone's life with this message. If God is for us, who can be against us?

It's not the law of religion nor the principles of morality that define our highways and pathways to God; only by the Grace of God are we led and drawn, to God. It is His grace that conquers a multitude of flaws and in that grace, there is only favor. Favor is not achieved; favor is received.

What better way is there to make someone else’s Sunday a better one than warming up their heart with a little wish or prayer from you. It will do you, likewise the person you’re sending it to, a lot of good. Yes, whoever receives the message will feel much better knowing that someone somewhere remembers them and also wishes them well or prays for them. And you in return will feel a kind of happiness and satisfaction knowing you have made another person’s day better.

Life can give us a number of beautiful and rich friends. But only true friends can give us a beautifully rich life.

It Is Finished

‘It Is Finished’ was written to celebrate the victory Jesus Christ won on that first Good Friday.

Resounding throughout the universe transcending time and space

Is the greatest shout of victory heard by the human race.

From the lips of the Lord Jesus Christ came that tremendous cry

'It is finished' was His shout as He laid down His life to die.

All Scripture has been fulfilled and the prophecy's now complete

As the One of whom all prophets speak held Satan in defeat.

The battle has been won by Him, the Immortal God who died

His precious blood has flowed for sin and the law is satisfied.

How vast the ransom He has paid for no work was left undone

The gate to heaven opened wide by God's One and Only Son.

Humankind has been redeemed and the full price for sin is paid

The shame and suffering are over, atonement has been made.

My Lord and my Love is crucified the sinner’s faithful friend

The Alpha and Omega is the Beginning and the End.

His perfect life sacrificed to pay the dreadful price for sins

The Age of Law ends at the cross as the Age of Grace begins.

DILEMMA.
Yes, some dilemmas can be terrible. Like they say, choosing to die in an inferno or in a deep blue sea where you can’t swim. It’s that difficult sometimes but for patience.

Sometimes, just do nothing! It can be the hardest thing to do, it might drive you crazy but sometimes just do nothing. Wait, be patient, trust the process and the outcome may surprise you.

I know it’s easier said that done but in patience, is ingrained time. Give that terribly confusing situation time today, you never can tell.

Hard work beats Talent when talent doesn't work hard.

Winners never quit and quitters never win. Winners see the gain; losers see the pain. The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things losers don't want to do. When you're a winner you're always happy, but if you're happy as a loser you'll always be a loser.

A new month is here again! My prayers for you this month is that you will experience the favor of God in your life. May things turn around and work out for your good. Your tears transform into joy and laughter because the good Lord will grant your heart desires and favor you throughout this month. Happy new month

At a restaurant, a cockroach suddenly flew from somewhere and sat on a lady.

She started screaming out of fear.

With a panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach.

Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group also got panicky.

The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away but ...it landed on another lady in the group.

Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama.

The waiter rushed forward to their rescue.

In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter.

The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behavior of the cockroach on his shirt.

When he was confident enough, he grabbed it with his fingers and threw it out of the restaurant.

Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behavior?

If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed?

He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos.

It is not the cockroach, but the inability of those people to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach, that disturbed the ladies.

I realized that, it is not the shouting of my father , mother, or my boss or my wife or husband that disturbs me, but it's my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me.

It's not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.

More than the problem, it's my reaction to the problem that creates chaos in my life.

Lessons learnt from the story:

I understood, I should not react in life.
I should always respond.

The women reacted, whereas the waiter responded.

Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of.

A beautiful way to understand............LIFE.

Person who is HAPPY is not because Everything is RIGHT in his Life..

He is HAPPY because his Attitude towards Everything in his Life is Right.

Yet I have borne him a son in his old age."........They said Sarah was too old, they call her Barren , they mocked her,, she had been written off,, but when God Almighty, the miracle worker was ready for her, her impossibility became possible. where you have been written off, where you have been rejected, where you have been denied, the God of impossibility , who visited Sarah in her old age and made it possible for her to have a child in her old age will turn all your impossibilities to possibilities in Jesus name. AMEN
