Comrade Ehigie Amenaghawon Osemwengie: a voyage around the origin, vision and contributions of an international human rights icon.

The saying goes that some persons are born great while some create greatness for themselves through hard work, delligence and dedication. Comrade Brown Ehigie A. Osemwengie was born great and also worked hard to consolidate on his in-built greatness that today, his name is now identified with endeavours that add value to the lives of others. He has become a rallying point for the defence of the downtrodden and a beacon of hope for humanity.

On the 1st day of November, 1973, the great international human rights artivist, Comrade Brown Ehigie Osemwengie was born into the Christian family of Mr. Richard and Mrs Roseline Osemwengie in Benin City, Edo State. He hails from Egor/Oredo Local Government Area of the great Benin Kingdom.

Comrade Ehigie Osemwengie attended Iyobosa Primary School, Benin City and the famous Egba Grammar School, Benin City before proceeding abroad where he studied at York University, Toronto, Canada for a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours Degree in Criminology and Psychology.

He thereafter obtained a Masters Degree in Law and Society/International Human Rights. As an international Executive, he sits as the CEO of Quick Collect and E&O Autos, Toronto Canada.

His burning desire to contribute to the happiness of others led him into human rights activitism. As a member of The Canadian Human Rights Association, he has been a voice for the voiceless both in his home country Nigeria and in the international arena.

His in-built zeal and passionate nature to contribute to the development of his home Edo State and Nigeria, motivated him into the founding of the now trailblaizing and fast growing global Edo People's Movement christined: Edo Dynasty United Organization Worldwide, an organization that is aimed at uniting all Edo people at home and in diaspora for the overall socio-economic development of Edo state and her people.

Comrade Osemwengie left Nigeria in the mid 1990’s in search of a better life. He has worked and Lived in five European countries before finally settling down in Canada/USA where he completed his higher education and raised a lovely family.

Members and stakeholders of Edo Dynasty United Organization Worldwide converged in Benin City on Sunday the 27th day of June, 2021 for a Get Together BBQ Party.

The purpose of the party according the the Worldwide Leader of the fast growing humanitarian Organization, is to strengthen the bond of unity, brotherhood and love among members and to also appreciate the home base who has been in the forefront in the ex*****on of the Organizations project.

Responding to Radio Esan after the successfu outing, the founder and president of the organization Comrade Brown Ehigie Osemwengie expressed his views as follows. Excerpts:

My name is Comr. Ehigie Osemwengie. I have a background in Criminology, Psychology, and international Human Rights. I am a human rights activist and the Founder of Edo Dynasty United Organization Worldwide.

My views of the Organization is that we are committed to advocate for human rights, vulnerable groups, stand up for our people against societal corruption and encourage gender equality to liberate our women from societal mental slavery. And I am so proud of our members for their energy, unity and enthusiasm.

Though I was not in the party physically, I was there through out the most on video call with a few other of our diaspora members. I can’t wait for us to have a grand finale in persons while we continue to stay focused on the primary purpose of the movement.

Like I said, the Organization is awesome given the energy of our members across the world. Every members in one way or the other contribute towards the success of the movement. It’s a ONE MOVEMENT, ONE FAMILY and FRIENDS. The thoughts and feelings behind it is genuine; that’s all that matters to me and look forward to having more dedicated members. I can assure you the future of the Organization is great and some members can smell it already. When you build a house on a solid foundation, you go in and sleep with no worries in your mind. I believe in transparency and accountability, by the grace of God, I pray and I am sure it will remain so. We shall continually work and collaborate with those that come with love and clean hands.

For now we are trying to properly get situated in Benin City which is quite cosmopolitan. We are quite young on the movement , as more like minded people key in we shall be felt in other cities as well.

To be quite honest with you, the main project in my mind at the moment is how to establish Edo Dynasty Skills Acquisition Centre in Benin City. We want to be able to provide vocational training to interested members of the society. When people have financial opportunities it reduces pressure that can lead to criminality.

My simple advice to the country in regards to the current uncertainty is that, we have the power to change things for the better. Don’t be compromised. Stand up for what is right. Vote for the right politician and hold them accountable, if they refuses, vote them out. Then, they will respect human rights and listen to us. It’s a collective responsibility to have the society we seek for, and together we can. God bless!

Bevy Efe is the Chief Logistics Officer of the Organization. He was involved with the planning and hosting of the get together party. He expressed his views with Radio Esan after the party. Below is the excerpts of his chat with Radio Esan:

My name is Bevy Efe K, I had NCE Economics Computer, B. Ed Economics. I am Edo Dynasty Chief Logistics Officer.

Radio Esan: Tell us about your views of the Organization?

Efe: my views is that the organization came into existence at the right time when the country is facing leadership problems.

Radio Esan: Were you at the BBQ party?

Efe: yes

Radio Esan: Make a statement about the organization, your contribution to it's success and what you forsee about it in the nearest future?

Efe: I have been there for the organization physically, mentally and financially

Radio Esan: Does the organization only operate in Benin City?

Efe: The world exist all over where Edo people exist, it's a worldwide organization.

Radio Esan: How are you able to carry the various interest groups along in your projects?

Efe: we explore the method of partnership for us to be able to engage and carry along different groups and organisations that has same ideas like us.

Radio Esan: What new project should Edo people expect from your organization?

Efe: There is a girl called Emily that has ear imparement, she can talk but can't hear, I love Edo Dynasty to come to her aid by providing ear gadget that will help her hear.

Radio Esan: What is your message to Edo persons who wants to join your organization?

Efe: Our doors are open to every Edo person that has the interest of Edo state at heart. Edo first.

Radio Esan: Give a word of advice to the people of Edo state concerning the current uncertainty in the country?

Efe: I will like to advice them to stay calm and not to give up on the country but be security concious.

Edo Dynasty Organization Declares Solidarity For Southern Governor's Ban On Open Grazing
..Calls For Creation of State Police to curb rising insecurity

The recent ban on open grazing by Southern Governor's Forum has gotten a big boost via global solidarity by a trail-blazing Edo Movement, the Edo Dynasty United Organization.

In a statement signed by Comrade Brown Ehigie Osemwengie, the worldwide leader of the organization, made available to the press from his base in Ontario Canada, the international human right Activist commended the Southern Governor's for speaking in one voice on the issues of open grazing despite their differences in political affiliations.

According to Osemwengie, "My association, the Edo Dynasty United Organization is strongly behind the Southern Governor's on this development. We wholeheartedly commend their strategy and unanimous ban on open grazing in all the territories of Southern Nigeria. This is a good step in curbing the rising state of insecurity connected with herdsmen activities. In the world over, cattle rearing has gone beyond the stage of open grazing. Ranches is the modern trend and our country should follow suit moreso that so much lives has been lost because of grazing related issues", he observed.

In the same development, Comrade Osemwengie, on behalf of his organization called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency approve the creation of state police to enhance the combating of crimes at state and regional level as well as restructure the country so that state can control their resources and develop at their own pace.

"Nigeria is blessed with abundance resources. All the states of the federation has at least one or two mineral resource to harness and plan their own development. This is the only way we can live in peace as one federating nation", he added.

The Edo Dynasty United Organization is a conglomerate of Edo sons and daughters across the world. We are United together by virtue of the ancient dynastic bond in service to the Edo Nation. The organization has donated to the needy in the state, support the Edo street lighting project, embarked on environmental sanitation and tree planting campaigns recently.

The Edo Dynasty United organization has recently lend a voice to issues concerning national leadership by calling on the National Assembly to retracts it's statement that diaspora Nigerians has no say in issues of national security and development. This followed the refusal of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives to entertain a Pettition from a Tiv Association in USA. In that issue, the Edo Dynasty unanimously called on the Deputy Speaker to apoligize to Diaspora Nigerians which actually happened.

On the issue of insecurity in Nigeria of recent, the Organization has called on the president of Nigeria, Mohamadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency to curb the rising crime but nothing of such happened.

It is therefore evident that the president is not responding to issues of security as it ought to be. Security of lives and properties of Nigerians is the first duty of the president and on this, it's evident that he is unable to do the needful.

Nigeria is beyond one person, no single person is beyond the good of the Nigeria and not even Mohamadu Buhari. On this note we call on the National Assembly to put plans in place to carry out their duty according to the Constitution which provides that in a situation where the president is unable to carry out it's duties either as a result of ill-health, it's either the president resigns or impeached accordingly.

Following the spate of non-stop insecurity and violent crimes in Nigeria now, a global Edo Movement, The Edo Dynasty United Organization, has joined voices with the National Assembly and all Nigerians, asking the President of Nigeria, Mohamadu Buhari to declare a state of emergency in the country to protect lives and properties of the citizens.

Edo Dynasty United Organization made this call today in an interview with Radio Esan Online, through it's president, Comrade Brown Ehigie Osemwengie.

According to the international human right activist, 'Edo Dynasty Organization as a humanitarian and pro-peoples organization is seriously worried about the spate of non-stop criminal activities in the country.

Edo Dynasty Organization is worried that nothing tangible is being done to halt the looming anarchy in the history of Nigeria. It observed that even though Nigeria is not officially at war, but the citizens now live in constant fear following the escalation of life threatening criminal activities in recent times.

It's high time, the President who is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, takes drastic action to curtail this anarchy before it's results to full blown war.

The people will take up arms to defend themselves if they feel helpless and threatened consistently. To avoid this, the leadership of this country must wake up to it's primary responsibilities of governance which is the protection of lives and properties.

The President as a matter of urgency should declare a state of emergency on the criminals who do not want the nation to be at peace. The bad eggs should be fished out of the nation wherever they are carrying out their criminal activities and be made to face the music. Nigeria as the giant of Africa should be seen to be the giant indeed and not in name. We have helped other countries to fight their wars and solve their security challenges in the past, why are we not able to solve our problems now?

On behalf of Edo Dynasty United Organization Worldwide, we join the Senate, the House of Representatives and all Nigerians seeking to live in peace, to ask that our president do the needful without much delay. He should declare a state of emergency on insecurity now to avoid full blown anarchy", he said.
