A glance at Basif's page revealed that his last update, dated November 29, 2023, was an invitation to his impending wedding set for Friday, December 22, and Saturday, December 23. Basif had joyously shared this invitation along with pre-wedding photos, expressing gratitude for God's faithfulness in their lives.

The news of Basif's untimely passing triggered an outpouring of condolences from other friends on social media platforms. Suleiman Naphysah expressed disbelief and deep sorrow, while Voiceman Austine mourned the loss, questioning the fate of the upcoming wedding.
