A HUSBAND STORE ANALOGY: A store that sells husbands has just opened. where women can go to choose a husband. At the entrance, there's a sign that explains how the store works: You may visit this store ONLY ONCE. There are six floors, and the attributes of the men improve as you ascend. You can choose any man from a particular floor or go up to the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building. So, a woman goes to the first floor. The sign on the door reads: Floor 1: These men have jobs. She decides to go to the second floor. The sign on the second floor reads: Floor 2: These men have jobs and love kids. She continues to the third floor. The sign on the third floor reads: Floor 3: These men have jobs, love kids, and are extremely good looking. Wow,' she thinks, but she feels compelled to keep going. She goes up to the fourth floor, and the sign reads: Floor 4: These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking, and help with housework. The woman is thrilled but can't resist going up another floor. She reaches the fifth floor, and the sign reads: Floor 5: These men have jobs, love kids, are extremely good looking, help with housework, and have a strong romantic streak. She is tempted to stay, but she decides to see what’s on the final floor. She ascends to the sixth floor, and the sign reads: Floor 6: You are a visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men here. This floor exists solely to prove that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store. This is a perfect example of how modern women price themselves out of the market with their high standards and lack of satisfaction.

Samson's power came from God, not from his beautiful locks of hair! He knew the origin of his strength and called out to the Lord to help him abolish his enemies. We have the power to overcome obstacles and hardships in our earthly life. We must remember that our strength comes from the Lord and contribute our tenacity to Him. We are grateful for His gracious character as He gifts us with skills to battle our enemies.

We live in an imperfect world, and it is inevitable that bad times will come our way. No one can escape tears and heartache during this earthly life. As Christians, we have hope! Our knowledge of God’s presence brings us peace and comfort. We know God is in control and has ultimate power over the outcome of our struggles. As we wait patiently, God’s Spirit abides in our hearts, guiding and comforting us each moment.

Paul says he has fought the good fight, meaning he has surrendered his entire life to the will of God and has a clear conscience regarding every action taken. When we look at our own lives, can we say the same? Paul was beaten, jailed, and persecuted; yet, he continued forward as the Holy Spirit directed. Paul surrendered his heart to God and lived only for Him. We may not experience the same struggles as Paul, but we have plenty of moments when we feel as though we should give up instead of moving forward; but, we stand firm in our faith. God is our salvation, and we remain devoted to Him.

We do not like to be wrong, and our egos become bruised when we stand corrected. The Bible provides details as to how we should conduct our lives so that we align with the will of God. We read the Word of God and gain wisdom regarding sins we need to remove from our lives. People who enjoy their sinful lifestyles don't want to hear they are wrong; they deflect from the truth and do what they want to do instead of what God asks of them. We will continue to study the Word and understand truth from false prophecy. ,

Paul warns Timothy of false teachers and how quickly they can twist Scripture to say what people desire instead of what is true. We face the same danger in the world today. Some become bored with the Gospel and add to it what they want. Others take the Word and bend it to the desires of the people they teach. Either way, we must keep our eyes and ears open for false prophesy, cling to Scripture, and speak out when we observe imposters leading believers astray.

The whole world is under condemnation due to the sin of Adam. We are genetically programmed to be like our relatives, which is why we look so much like our relatives. We are also environmentally programmed to be like those who surrounded us when we were born, which is why we speak the language we speak. In the same way that we inherited the sins and habits of our relatives, we also inherited the sins and habits of Adam. We are genetically hardwired to be like Adam.
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death came to all men because all sinned (Romans 5:12). For just as through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous (Romans 5:19).
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2 KJV).

Reason cannot, by itself, explain why there is reason. Science cannot, by itself, explain why there is science. Man's discovery and application of science are products of reason. Reason and science can explain the existence of matter but cannot explain why there is matter. They can explain the existence of the universe, but they cannot explain why there is a universe. They can explain the existence of nature and the laws of physics, but they cannot explain why there is nature and the laws of physics. They can explain the existence of life, but they cannot explain why there is life. They can explain the existence of consciousness, but they cannot explain why there is consciousness. Science is a critical aspect of human existence, but it cannot address the spiritual and moral nature of man. In this respect, science is a dead end around which the atheist refuses to reason. Reason itself informs man of its own limitations and, in doing so, directs him to the discovery of a force greater than himself: a supernatural force responsible for the origins of not only human existence but all existence, which itself has always existed and will always exist. For most, the supernatural reveals itself in the Creator—God. Man seeks God's guidance through faith and prayer. The agnostic accepts the supernatural but is not so sure of the form of its existence. The deist accepts that God created the universe and man's condition but left it for man to sort things out through reason.

Man is more than a physical creature. There is but one law for all, namely, the law which governs all laws: the law of our Creator, the law of humanity, justice, equity—the law of nature and of nations. This is the natural law that penetrates man's being, which our forefathers adopted as the principle around which our civilized society would be organized.

I heard someone say a few days ago, “See, that just goes to show you that you can raise your kids in church all you want to, but……” and it literally shattered my heart. All because that kid had made a mistake. All because that kid’s sin was brought to light.

Let me just tell you…… We don’t raise our kids in church so they can grow up perfect. We don’t raise our kids in church because it magically makes them unable to sin or holier-than-thou.

We do however raise our kids in church so WHEN they mess up and WHEN they fall short, they know just who to run to. So they know that their Lord and Savior will NEVER leave nor forsake them no matter how big or small their mess up might be.

So they know their Heavenly Father will always leave the 99 if they are that ONE that needs saving.
So they will know what grace is like and give it out freely.

So they will know the unconditional love of their Father and love those around them just the same regardless of anything else.

So they know that there is absolutely NOTHING in this world they could do that our Saviors blood hasn’t already covered.

I will never apologize for raising my children in church. I will never apologize for making sure our family makes church a priority over anything else. Because it’s more than just a song and a sermon. It’s more than just a memorized Bible verse in Sunday School. It’s for when this cruel world we live in comes knocking on their door, they personally know the solid rock on which they stand.

What is our attitude when we approach God? Sometimes we come to Him broken, sorrowful, and repentant. Other times, we come fearful and hurting, weighed down by great need. But in all circumstances, we should come before Him with gratitude, for no matter our situation He welcomes us and receives us.

It is easy to look at the conflict, disease, and affliction in this world and lose hope for the future. When we consider human selfishness, we can’t begin to imagine how we could ever fix this mess. But God has given us hope, the anticipation of a new heaven and new earth, where righteousness will dwell. Even as we endure the realities of this life, we do so knowing that one day, we will be free from pain and evil.

The disciples were worried about the storm while Jesus slept. Still, when they called on him, Jesus answered, and silenced the wind and waves with a word. The disciples were amazed at Jesus’ authority, while Jesus questioned their lack of faith. As followers of Jesus, we are reminded that when we see that Jesus is not worried about our situation, it is a sure sign that we should not be worried, either.

Some of us have near-death stories to tell- times when we narrowly and miraculously avoided a terrible fate. And as believers, all of us have a spiritual near-death story. Our sin and selfishness ultimately lead to destruction. It is only by the miraculous and unfailing mercy of God that we avoid our fate.

Darkness and light cannot occupy the same space, since darkness is the absence of light. The same is true of the spiritual light of love. If we harbor hate towards others, we remain in darkness. Only the love of God can overcome this darkness. So let us seek God and His love, and drive out all darkness from our hearts.

God calls us to be peace-loving people in all that we do. For in Him, we know eternal peace, and so He instructs us to sow peace with others. Where condemnation leads to wrath and discord, peace sown in love and mercy leads to the righteousness that comes only from God’s grace.

It is right that we worship, that we offer God our praise and adoration. But our sacrifice does not end when we step away from the altar. Every act of kindness toward another is a sacrifice that is pleasing to God. When we share our resources with others, help them as we are able, and serve them with compassion, we are giving back to God out of all that He has given to us.
